Now, I cannot part with them, because they think this is where they belong. What a lovely idea! We’re going into spring and so I’ll remind myself of this in May next year! Such a delicious pizza and adorable kitten- bless you for looking after Goldie! I have just introduced a 5 yr old rescue ginger girl to my beautiful orange boy and it luckily went very smoothly over 4 days only. He was suffering after we lost our lovely little grey girl of 20 yrs and getting Lia was the best thing for him ever. Four footed companions are so important to each other! ❤️

Welcome, Goldie, to your new and wonderful life. Thank you, Kevin, for saving her and making her part of your family! I'm sure, in time, Binky will be more accepting of Goldie. Who knows! Maybe they'll transition from being just house mates to being companions! 💞🤞 Oh Kevin, you stole my heart with your window garden AND the root vegetable pizza. You've given me some ideas about doing the same with my bedroom window. Since my day light only comes from the northerly direction, growing indoor plants can be difficult to provide enough light. BUT....(drum roll please) I have a grow light system (with 5 adjustable necks each with light panels, a timer and a remote). This, through the low light of winter, will supplement what the plants can't get from the window light. Ta-da! And that pizza has my name on it. (Yes, I can eat everything now). I love ALL of those root veggies and I always use only veggies on my pizza. No meat. But I do make my own pizza dough, using 00 pizza flour. Well this is quite a long message, Kevin. My apologies. First of all...Goldie is beautiful!! It's so wonderful that you rescued him and were able to bring him back to health!! I am a cat person and after we lost our last kitty, I couldn't be without one, so we got an orange kitten from our local shelter. They definitely have strong personalities. Your window garden is gorgeous but there are a few there that are dangerous for cats if they go in your bathroom. Your pizza looks delicious because roasted veggies are the best!!!! Thank you for being an animal rescuer ! I Donely, did you save Goldie but in addition, you saved Avery and Binky. Kudos on saving these three lives. I wish more people would do this instead of buying animals. Here in South Carolina we have many animals being unnecessarily euthanized in our shelters. I am thankful and support several rescue groups, the transport animals to the north. What is Passion 4 Paws located in Shelburne, Vermont. They have taken so many dogs and found homes for them in the north east, and on up into Canada. My first kitten was a “ Big Red” or ginger cat like Goldie. Male ginger cats are known to be the lovers of the feline world. My boy, Dudley, was just such a cat. He was a rescue, found on the streets and became a special dearly loved member of our family. He will be remembered always again, thank you for your kind and loving heart.

The window garden is beautiful. Great idea to add some bulbs. Philodendrons are a wonderful houseplant. I have a similar one to yours my kitchen. They can tolerate low light. Beautiful window garden, Kevin! What a great idea! The window sills in my house are only about 2 1/2" wide, and this would work really well! You have my promise that I will give that root veggie pizza a try - It looks wonderful! Goldie is a most fortunate cat to have you for a "cat daddy"! He's gorgeous!! My son and I have also been adopted by a feral kitten. Our little boy is the runt of one of Ginger's last litter. She showed up for dinner one night, very pregnant, and had 8 kittens that she started bringing to feed, and about the 6 to 8 week mark. Sasha seemed to get left behind or bullied, but he was the only kitten that would get close to us. So after finding him unattended on the front porch for hours at a time, and let me tell you, an East facing front porch in North Florida is HOT, we took him in. Now, he's a well-spoiled, probably 8 or 9 week old kitten that has coloring and marking like a Siamese. Ginger had two ginger tabbies, three calicos, 1 grey, one black with white markings, and two Siamese looking kittens. We're now trying to have the local Partners for Pets catch them so the other kittens have a chance at adoption, and that the now very tame Ginger, can have her next litter (Oops, she did it again!) in a safe place, be spayed, and have her own chance at a forever home. The only reason we didn't do it sooner is because we didn't know where she had the first litter of kittens.
