My heart is leaping with joy! You have made a recipe I have been looking for for 30 years or more! When I was about 13, my Girl Scout troop took cooking classes. We had a little spiral bound cookbook and we each chose a recipe. Your lemon pudding cake was the one I chose. It was so perfect and I made it for my family all the time. My first cooking triumph! I am now 75 and that little cookbook is long gone. Thank you so much for this!

What a clever idea to make a version of Lemon Sauce Pudding a form of which I've been making for years. My recipe here in the UK, I was told by the friend who gave it to me, came from New Zealand. Kevin and friends are truly global. My version is simply baked, also in Bain Marie, in a fairly shallow baking dish. I look forward to trying the ramekin option. I am wondering if a six hole silicone muffin tray might be an alternative? I hadn't thought of little puddings as a teatime option but why not live adventurously? It has reminded me of a really easy traybake which I make for admittedly infrequent tea parties or bring and share events. This can be baked in a square or oblong pan using a Victoria sponge mixture flavored with lemon zest and a dash of the juice. Top with simple icing, not too runny but not too stiff, made just without powdered sugar and lemon juice. Cut the cake into oblong slices and decorate each slice with a piece of glace cherry and two small pieces of angelica arranged to look like leaves pointing out at a narrow angle from the central cherry. This looks pretty and these lemon slices are usually popular because there is a nice balance between sweet and sour. Kevin always complains that his videos are too long - not so; you do your followers the courtesy of believing we have a reasonable attention span. I am afraid I am inclined to go on too long in these comments. I get a bit carried away once I apply finger to smartphone. So please Kevin make your videos as long as you please.

I recently made some lemon souffles created by our UK Queen of cookery, Delia Smith but I was disappointed as they required Lemon Curd in the bottom of the ramekins and they tasted sickly. Your Lemon Pudding Cakes stay well clear of Lemon Curd [thank goodness], just beautiful fresh lemons and from the looks they are simply delicious. Lemons on my shopping list this week. Very pretty to serve & surely delicious. I'm always curious to see how other folks do tea. My gatherings at home for tea always include a few sandwich selections followed by either a very nice particular well-plated dessert or a variety of smaller cakes. I have met at some eateries for mid-late afternoon tea which were pleasantly done like yours in the video. I've my few close friends & we like to give ourselves a treat sometimes, either at a nice eatery or at our homes...honestly, we like to play! ...I've never ever made your Lemon Pudding Cakes...how interesting. I've done little cakes, plus 9-inch rounds, that were internally swept inside with waves of delicious fruit ambrosia. I'm now inspired to tackle your recipe to add & offer at my little gatherings. Hi Kevin, this is the first time I have seen one of your videos. I am from Australia and your little lemon cakes are also a desert here and it’s called Lemon Delicious. Kevin, I stumbled upon your channel after watching another youtuber make a lemon cake (I often watch multiples of a recipe to get options) You used twice the lemons, of which I heartily approve. Now where do I being. Your lovely home (reminded me of my grandparent's place which they had from the 1930s until the 1970s. I enjoyed your lovely grounds. I was enjoying my Orange Pekoe Tea from India along with you. Your instructions were clear and kindly. The Vassage was gorgeous and the piano. Everything was wonderful. Of course I subscribed right away and look forward to more of your content.
