Loving this series! I am struggling to find good bright/rock-piano and distortion guitar sounds in mainstage currently... was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to get these sounds right, or any other instrument banks that you use?

Hi kevin, love the Mainstage videos! I'm just starting work on a show which has a lot of split-patching and altered pitches (eg Piano A2 to A4, Organ A#4 and above, with Piano sounding -24 and Organ sounding -12), and I'm quite new to Mainstage. Is what you were doing at the end the best way to programme these kind of splits? And what about the edited pitch? Any advice you can offer would be welcome (or would love to see a video on it)

Hi quick question. How to make second sound play only hard press on keyboard? For example I want to have 2 patches layered on top of each, one piano and an other brass. And when I play keyboard normally only hear the piano patch but when I press hard only hear the brass.

You have to take the brass layer and adjust the lower velocity threshold that's set for when it triggers. Some samples in MainStage have defaults that you have to play with to get them to sound right.
