Great stuff as always Kev, you're so right, unfortunately about the Irish DF, I (we) gave a lot to that organisation and I for one cannot recommend it as a career choice to my two kids, I'm working in Africa to ensure their future,. This is terrible for me, that I could not recommend the DF as a career choice for my two kids. I'm a retired senior officer , currently running around Africa with a Glock 19 and 45 rds of ammunition at the age of 63 going on 64. Now I knew, I was never going to take up golf when I retirered....... but in fairness.......

Kevin, coming from the borderland counties, you've grown up and witnessed I'm certain of how hard-working and committed many in that part of the island were to producing materials and items consuming by the construction industry. In towns such as Dublin. It's not a direct comparison to what you spoke about, over half ways through. But a comparison nonetheless, where a larger construction based operation does two or three things. It sets up planning and development strategies in advance (to build out certain projects), and it resources the same with plant, equipment, materials and labour resources. In other words, these are folks likewise who are familiar with their own operations, requirements, things they need to purchase and the standards that those things need to meet, which they intend to purchase. And on occasion, one or two of the supplier companies gave the sales pitch to a group of veteran construction managers I was hired into. And the suppliers proceeded to instruct the veteran guys, what their needs were. I still remember the reaction, and the push-back that the CM's gave to the suppliers. Granted that supplier at that time was riding very high up in the competition, between all of the suppliers around (and they still do a decent trade in Ireland and UK). It's a similar thing though, of where folks who 'use' components and put them to use in the real world, aren't clowns when it comes to knowing what to choose or select. And furthermore, didn't appreciate the way they were being depicted in that way, by the supplier.

Great insight on the NGSW and the 6.8x51 cartridge. I think it is a cool rifle and the round is very interesting and exciting. But it ended up being the size and weight of an M14 with the same recoil. I personally think something like the M27 based on the HK416 is the future. Hopefully with a little shorter barrel than the M27, so that its not longer than an M16A2 with the suppressor on. Changing chambering from the standard 5.56 and 7.62 for the standard issue rifles and machine guns seems like a monumental task and logistics nightmare. Never mind the NATO issues it will cause.

Hey Mr. Kevin, Love it as always. Perhaps in the future you can discuss an alternative to a Stronghold defense/offense. Pardon my interpretation of Hamas and how they're launching their attacks but it seems like a lot of folks think about doing a similar Stronghold strategy should chaos erupt. I suppose the question I have is "Can one implement gorilla tactics and not look like a terrorist and put the civilian non-combatants at risk?"

You may have mentioned it elsewhere but what barrel length do you recommend to do that combo CQB and long work? Thank you for the great info you put out.

What are your thoughts on the 6.5 grendle? As for books a good read is called "The Village" and the book called "The Advisor" You have probably already read SAS Secret War aka Operatoon Oman by Tony Jeaps. Required reading at the British War College at one time.

Im suprised by your comments around 21:00 concerning hamas, Israel, hamburg, japan. My understanding was that our tactics had changed. That after WW1 we saw shell shocked soldiers and thought that if we could do that to civilians, we could end the war. That through total war and by bombing civilian infrastructure we could more quickly end the war through a lack of supplies and that even if they could have factories, the civilians would be too shell shocked to actually work/function. Would you say then that any attack against any democracy can not be a terrorist attack because people voted for those in power making these decisions? That only the killing of civilians in a non democratic govt should be avoided because they have no choice? Maybe I'm misunderstanding but this is a legitimate question.

What is considered acceptable accuracy when shooting at distance ( my standard is 10" plate 3 for 3 at 600M and in ) . Also what do you consider Long Range 400M - 1000M or fo you consider Long Range 600M and in . I only have access to 600M range that's why I went with Gas Gun chambered in 6ARC.. If all you had access too was 600M would you go with Gas Gun or Bolt
@whiterabit09 Жыл бұрын
I only have access to a 1000 yrd range a few times a year.... 100 yrd most of the time for practice. So I bought a rifle and scope to fit that restriction, think you made the right choice until you have the opportunity to shoot further.
