Gday, I just want to say, I've made 2 technical industry related gpt's and am working on a third. We home school and Im uploading the curriculum and building around that to create a teacher. Your steps were great and easy to follow. I added some elements from other learning I've done. I added sequential agents as if it was a business you walked into and had a team to help. They have been great but require many tweaks. It was a little harder than the cookies as I'm building knowledge bases from a large volume of technical information. There is a limit, but there's workarounds. It all comes down to how you prompt to get the best result. It has been about 60% on 1 But that information is critical so I've got a lot to do. The 2nd, a little simpler, but still within technical/critical info is about 90% I've wanted to try this and you prompted me. So thanks. Cheers

Kevin, Thanks for the instruction. Someone left at one of my clients and I have been inundated with questions about what she did and how she did it. I created a custom GPT and uploaded a related software manual plus my own annotations about their specific ways of using the software. I then quizzed it on several aspects of the software including some things I didn't know/remember and it worked like a champ. Using your instruction and my vague understanding of how ChatGPT worked, I was able to get some viable results. Thanks, Fred.

If this will do what I need, you'll be my hero for the decade! I would like to upload the data files from custom surveys that we run (very proprietary) to be able to pull out insights from across all of those different surveys. As a for instance, we may have different surveys that ask people from different business functions what their salaries are for their top 3 function executives. This would be 16 separate surveys, but I'd like a GPT that can spit that salary information out for me, without me having to open 16 different files to grab the information. And I need it to be private only to our company, since this information is key to our value to our members. Can this do that? It looks to me like it can.

@@Yoorae21 The need to upload every survey you want to reference each time isn't ideal. Right now, we're trying to verify that it doesn't "remember" the information we've previously uploaded. It seems it might. ChatGPT itself doesn't remember but the custom GPT does, even after closing the tab and clearing the cache and all cookies.

This is a great video, with full of information. I have a question on training a custom model. How do I train a model for a certain set of Inputs and for a specific output. For example, I would provide a set of SQL select queries with different kinds of joins. I need to extract the table names out of that.

I am no expert, but i think you have to remember this: A given system like ChatGPT3 or 4 only can go back to a certain time point (a year ago or longer??), and todays news or texts cannot be accessed.

GPT-4o can send up to 80 messages every 3 hours, and as you said GPT-4 is limited to 40 per 3 hours - one technique I use is to construct several prompts per message. Granted that may not work in all situations. I have one client who upgraded to Enterprise. They have a higher message limit but I don't know the number - another option is to upgrade to Team which I believe is $30/month/per user.

I had to restructure a User Guide into 18 pdf's. Originally the UG was in chapters by the command being used. Some of the uploaded pdf version contained multiple chapters. Hope this helps.

Custom gpts are STUPID. They do not even use their own knowledge base so there is no point in using them. It is better to just prompt chain to get the desired results out of the AI.

No it’s not, you just didn’t find the right use for it. For example you could build a custom gpt that fully knows you. So whenever you want to figure out something about decisions or thoughts or actions you could ask that specific gpt your question. Imagine if you fed the custom gpt all sorts of personality tests that you did. You favorite color, your life story or even astrology birth charts that you can simple feed by uploading all these pdf’s of tests etc. You would only have to do it once and keep it updated by allowing to store its answers. Imagine how powerful it could be in giving you exactly the answers you need just because it knows you waaayyyy better in a way shorter amount of time. And this is just one example of what I think that would be a handy custom gpt.
