Kev, I researched about what happened when the car flipped. 13:57 It's because of the car weight, downforce, wheelbase and suspension. A short wheelbase has more of a chance of tipping over, like when a car brakes, the front end gets shoved down. But on your car, the high acceleration tipped the car over to the back, air is being shoved through the front, causing a huge front flip. The car's length is narrow. But you don't have to fix that. There was more weight on the back when in the front, (the electronics are heavy) so what you need to do is level the weight out by placing some electronics in perfect positions, so the front has a LITTLE BIT more weight than the front. Now the suspension is OK, but the ride height needs to be adjusted, don't make the car too low or make the front and rear height uneven. I suggest 2-5cm of ride height should be fine. The stiffness for the shocks could also be an issue, make the front soft (not too soft or it will scrape the ground) but enough for it to stay up when accelerating. Keep the rear shock stiffness the same.

The downforce from that speed is causing the chassis to bottom out under high speeds. I would suggest adding stiffer suspension and maybe a tad more ground clearance, or slightly bigger wheels and tires. Bigger tires would also give you more speed as well.

Regarding the servo relocation, an additional benefit here will be helping to keep the front end down. A quarter pound taken from the vehicle and placed IN FRONT of the front axle will substantial. On the negative side - you do risk additional damage with any strong frontal impacts. But then, speed running isn't about limiting damage in the event of a crash - otherwise it would be called "limited damage" running. And that sounds boring.

Hello. Kev, I believe you are going the right and fun way with your limitless. Love it by the way. I honestly think that aerodynamics is key now that you have reached the ceiling of 170mph. I suggest a hard shell. If you are happy with the drag this shell is giving you make a mold using a new one and make it carbon fiber. It will be heavier but it won’t give you any issues like bending under downforce. Stiffen up shocks and give it a go. Double the motor is double the power indeed but how much will you gain in top speed considering the extra weight. 15S sounds key too. Keep exciting us with your amazing toys mate!
