I use black gorilla tape on the inside of my tires. Seems to work great so far. Ive never gotten to the speeds you are attempting though.

Kevin, You should make a 'lifting body' (air foil shaped body), and turn the back fin into a pair of Elevons that can be programmed to provide either down-force when on the road, and then some control-ability when in the air after launching off the jump.

I used some 300 pound test fishing line, and tied it around the outside of the tire... a few times around. It works GREAT!!

One thing that works pretty well is using a thicker bicycle tire tube. Cut into strips and glue them to the inside just like your dry wall tape. 1/4 inch overlap at the end to hold the bond. 😎👍

I heard the Beast 300a blows up often, especially running above 8s. If you are going above 8s, alien power systems makes some great 12s and 8s esc's for pretty decent prices (make sure you go to the car esc category) But be aware that some of them need a BEC, and cap packs are always recommended on any setup of speed.

I got a ZTW300A on my 12S xmaxx and it works really good. The only thing is that it's far heavier.... But I love it. It's also coupled with a TP POWER motor... Oh gosh... So good!!!

For good plastic glue use Armaflex glue, it desolves the rubber and plastic and bonds it tight together. Just use a bit, let it dry a moment and then put the both components together. Hope I’ve helped you a little. Great video love the car!

It actually looks awesome. And RC manufacturers should look at this as an option, a long wheelbase RTR. If that small piece of lexan was formed to fit the fin on that uppermost part of the factory shell it would look epic. It basically looks like an off road F1.

I've got a method that may work for offroad bashing as far as a body mount method goes in this situation. What worked for me with my stretched typhon build(talion chassis) was to use the rear tower to tower brace/mount that you won't be needing since you've got the m2c chassis/chassis braces, so you essentially use the unused upper portion of the rear mount and a stock plastic long wheel base rear chassis brace to mount a stock arrma body mount to either side of it(left/right) so that you can simply moung that plastic chassis vrace(now rear body mount ) to the upper hole of that rear Tower2tower brace.... if you are following me this stock plastic chassis brace already has the horizontal hole in it for it being used to mount it normally as it was intended but instead you slide the bolt through it above where your rear chassis btace is now(t2t brace normally mounts to in the rear) and not 9nly does this method work well, is stupid simple to modify out of all the stock plastic chassis brace/body mounts we have laying around(atleast i know i have a box full of stock plastics as im an arrma guy who always 4athervreplace chassis braxrs with metal upgraded ones) but in the end you will ultimately have a simple body mount solution that actually looks good and functions like a convertible top does when you raise it up ya don't necessarily have to take the rear body clips off or remove the body as the repurposed chassis brace is able to pivot/ lift up and down vertically with body mounted. My DIY mount worked incredibly good for a random idea I had that xosy nothing and could even setup/wrench on the stretched typhon with body still securely mounted to the "lever style" mount but would also sort 9f stay up and out of the way(kind of how a funny car dragster looks when the pit crew lifts up the whole body from the front as it raises up and towards the rear) without the body falling down while doing whatever i was with it up and out tge way. Wish I could show picture of the way mine worked rather than all this babble but it really worked so well I didn't think about changing it as its functional as well as solid and honestly makes things a bit easier when all ya have to do is remove the front body clip and tilt the body up towards tge rear and than back down aligned perfectly every time. Hope atleast domeone can understand what I'm trying to explain as it really helped me out and no money spent and had it finished in less than 15 min tops! Cheers

Intruiging project this one. I like the idea with the tires. The guy that holds the RC speed record used a drag strip and a high vantage point. Myself I think those things plus fvp with a line to follow on the road would be the go. I’d think the speed of the steering would want to be dialed back too.

I wonder if using floss or heavy fishing line on the outside of the tire would work for tire belting? Oops just saw your going to try that! Awesome looking forward to see if it works! Maybe a bit of onboard go pro camera work to compare with and without fishing line? I like your idea too, though it seems like a little more work. Maybe you'll need both at 150mph!?

Don't go with two motors, order a single motor from NEU with a shaft coming out both ends. They did it for me when I built a Kyosho speed runner. It will cost you $300 or more but you won't be disappointed. You could also ask TP POwer to build one like that for you too in 4070.
