RPM bumper the Notorious/Outcast, Kraton, Talion and Typhon. They've made it a lot better if you come down on the front, to keep from spreading the wheels breaking a arms and hinge pins. And they look EPIC.. thanks Kev. Feel like part of the crew sometimes. I'm a solid RCist and noone to run with. My side lot is big enough to run 1/5 and 1/8 RC's like a monster jam session. Just need 3 more mounds of dirt. Then hit the Local Hobby Shop and put up a sign to come out and run And they could bring chargers and extra batteries as I have a work shed to charge them in. 🤔

Great stuff, as always. That Notorious really did well indeed! And Rival MT10 has definitely earned the legendary status of being nigh-indestructible. As for Arrma motor mounts, I've found out that the optional heatsink from Arrma will nicely cover the gap between chassis and the motor and provide it the support it needs. And yes, overheating is a big problem on those motors, even without the speed gearing. If you want your RC motors to last, I highly recommend the motor heatsink and the fan for it.
@falcondragonslayer Жыл бұрын
I agree. Anyone getting a brushless RC car needs to get a heat sink & fan if it doesn’t have one. Brushless motors are expensive and get very hot while running, so a heat sink & fan is a must

Thanks for the fun run and your mates being out having fun together. When I bought the Notorious v4, after breaking the wing mount did that exact same thing. Figured if I could get the screw stuck in the shock tower out, time to put longer ones in with secure bolts. To bad you cant do it with the others as it is a great fix. But if bashing, I now have RPM wing mounts and remove the wing as that's what twists it and snaps that screw or arm if lucky enough. Glad you put that out there. I want to start making videos but take care of my 92 year young Grandmother. I get out on our side lot when she's napping. Thanks again for the video, and you're right, the scenery is beautiful. Glad you take time no matter what and enjoy the beauty all around us. 🤜🤛💯🔥👍

No. Just no. The wing is for looks. Put this thing in a wind tunnel and the tires alone create enough of a wind break nothing hits the wing.

It’s not the wing that causes the lift. It’s the torque. A Notirious is able to do standing backflips (as shown in the video) because of its extreme torque.

Would be interesting, but impractical. A truck that size would be nearly impossible to drive on 4S. Even my friend’s Outcast 4S, which is built for it, is easier and more fun to drive on 3S than 4S

@@falcondragonslayer I had ended building one myself with a 4s system although it was fun and the drivetrain held up fine it definitely took some throttle management to keep it from flipping over on its lid constantly. It would do quadruple backflips no problem tho lmao

Just fyi: If your RC ever starts sounding similar to that Xmaxx, STOP DRIVING IT. Chances are, it’s just a stripped gear, but my brother’s Slash 4X4 VXL made this sound, we took it inside and while checking the pinion & spur, we noticed that one of the bearings on the motor had exploded, and that sound was the rotor rattling around. Had he kept driving it, the motor would have been destroyed and he’d have to buy a new one

Always shove a ball of double stick tape under the end of your motors on every truck you are sending. No more broken motor mounts. Basically the same truck give or take a few parts
