The loss of signal is also a problem with other manufacturers and protocols like FrSky's D16. When you're that close to the receiver, the transmission signal ist too strong, which causes the receiver to overamplify and cut the connection.

Yeah he must not being using elrs. I don't have the mt12 but one of their aircraft radios and I can be either antennas pressed together or quite literally over a mile away and have good signal.

Yeah I use my boxer for my rc truck and drive to the edge of dji 03 on 250mw/250mhz and have never once come close to failsafing. Put it on 50mhz and there is almost 0 drop in radio signal when the 03 is down to like 2mbps. They are doing something fantastically wrong lol.

@@jdmjdmjdmjdmjdmjdmjdm I also use the Boxer. Hundreds of hours on ELRS now and haven't had a single blip, not with my big airplanes or helicopter or with my 2wd carpet buggy. Or at FliteFest with hundreds of other 2.4GHz Systems powered on, though I definitely had a receive quality hit in that situation. I feel like they might be using the 4in1 module and FrSky D16 or something. Or maybe just got supremely unlucky on the hardware.

I hate to say this, but ELRS is actually good now. Futaba, as you already know, is an HD system. Well, for the quad world, it's a waste of time... But if I had to fly a model plane, Futaba. RC car racing ELRS fater just external module... But yes, you want the files for your model, I can send to just duplicate for each model... Edge TX is not easy at first; maybe after many years, you might get used to it maybe...😅

I love RC and 2 stroke atvs and dirt bikes but that truck would even annoy me. As an enthusiast if I'm annoyed by it then i can only imagine how a regular person would feel about it. It's a bad a those big, shiny, slow, obnoxiously loud motorcycle that losers sit at red lights revving up.

Back in the 80's, when i last used gas powered RC's, we'd put a pull tab on the car that was connected between the spark energize lr and plug so when you pulled the tab/loop it would disconnect the spark plug killing the engine. We did this because when they ran away you'd have to catch it first before being able to kill it but woth the loop you just had to geab and pull which can be done easily enough as the RC passed by you or your buddies...

Noting can beat a reed cased 2 stroke. I have found the stock pipe leaves alot of rpm left on the table with a reed cases. I think the blow down is the issue with the stock pipe.

It's only telemetry that is lost, the radio signal still works. Telemetry signal doesn't like to be close with the receiver
