easiest way to get the rounded bolt out is to take a dremel and cut a slot on the bolt head and then use a flat screw driver to spin it out.

I get stripped out screws out with a Dremil with the thinnest possible cutting wheel on it. I cut a slot in the screw and get it out with a flat head screw driver.

I learned quick after getting my team associated nitro truck and bought 5 of everything for the drive train and then my pull start spring exploded when i went to start it. I have a team associated MGT 4.60 4x4 nitro truck 1/8 scale and I love driving it around the park with my son its a good bonding hobby. have you thought about making a custom roll cage for the undercarriage that would have a front bumper with wrap around roll bars over the tires that goes under the frame,so in hard hits at most the Middle road cage part around the wheels will be bent and not broken parts on the cars I have just got into RC's myself an drones but just an Idea.

it could be 3 pieces the front bumper with the roll bars over the front tires a long flat part that would hook under the frame to the metal plate which would also hook the rear bumper which would have the rear roll bars over the rear tires.

You can tape around the foam with duct tape and get verry little ballooning but then you don't have to tape tires in the future and the tires balloon slightly witch is good for speed and lowers friction
