Great interview I salute the brother Bam, for recalling the stories so vividly and articulately. I loved seeing the newspaper clipping showing all the talent that came out of Compton. As a mother of 3 sons, Football definitely kept my sons too tired to run the streets after they were done eating, doing homework, and showers. I believe we should definitely keep all the sports teams busy, especially starting at the little league age. I believe we can save a few more souls once more of our men get/stay involved with these boys thru mentorship/coaching, Just my 2 cents, Respectfully!😊 Please keep bringing us awesome content KM, I respect you!💯

5:57 shows Professional Athletes From Compton and I wondered where are Venus and Serena Williams? Then I noticed KC Chiefs' OC Eric Bieniemy (head coach next year?) is shown as being at San Diego. He was there no later than 1994 so the article could not have been written after that. The Williams sisters turned pro after that and would not have been widely known before then, so ok there is no real omission. Since then and off the top of my head I know that SF 49er and Superbowl bound Richard Sherman played high school in Compton, so did Tyson Chandler of the Houston Rockets (got ring with Dallas Mavs). I bet very few people know that former NFL Comish, the late Pete Rozelle went to high school in Compton. There are others, I just can't think of their names now, but that list has really grown over the years.
