Now you guys can see why the Bay Area (Frisco, Oakland, East Palo Alto, Richmond, Vallejo, Marin, Pittsburg) rejected being bloods and crips. The Bay Area already had a strong revolutionary structure and foundation. The panthers as well as other black revolutionary and black power organizations were so strong in the bay started in the late 50s and 60s. That influence spread all across the country. LA was even influenced initially by the panthers as well ( Bunchy Carter etc) But unfortunately, the government dismantled and infiltrated the panthers, killed the leaders, jailed key members and ultimately thwarted the movement. Hence making room for street gangs. ( Bloods and Crips) to thrive in LA. LA was on some shoot and harm your brother, but the bay was about fighting against the system, black power, unity and black revolution. 2 completely different ideologies. It’s really sad and unfortunate that the bloods and crips for the most part couldn’t adopt that mindset. Of course there were many B’s and C’s that joined the BGF To this day, there aren’t any crip or blood sets in the bay. There may be some off brands here and there. But there are ZERO reputable blood or crip sets. Dudes from the bay hit the pen and push 415/ Kumi/ BGF car.

Many Brothers from LA who were born in the late 1930s and in the 40s, had a revolutionary mindset. Which is why they were consistently fighting against the LAPD and LA County Sheriff's. 65 Watts Rebellion popped and the Brothers cracked it off against CHP and LAPD. Before the Panthers kept watch on police, The Slausons had C.A.P (Community Alert Patrol), they would watch the police. So it looks like despite being hundreds of miles away from each other. They had the same ideas, which would make sense. Just like the Deacons for Defense and others around the country. With some exception like Kenneth Carter and Lorenzo Benton. It's interesting what literally a 10yr difference in birthdates can do, in terms of mindset. Then by the time the Crip generation that was born in the 60s, came along there was really no true revolutionary mindset. Due to various factors some of which you named. The Government did a good job. The government created problems has had a good run. We will get it right though.

I realized one thing, being chased by the atrays and the hoovas from horace mann. Being an immediate product of the war, non affilliated but guilty by association. He never disappeared. He was arrested, and the newspapers covered it. He was a juvenile. He was convicted, and went to YA with some of the homies who can verify it. It’s mentioned in one of my interviews. He paroled, and can be found with a simple search. He’s left one comment and reached out to me once to inform me he’s working on a a project regarding the incident. Growing up in the hood we know how ignorant and cowardly we can be sometimes and how often our ego and pride supercedesconflict resolution. Cointelpro had nothing to do with it.

Almost two years (20 months passed) before the Official date of the Panthers being formed in October 1966. Maybe you meant his former bodyguard, was there on a few campuses on the east coast. When those chapters were being formed in 67 and 68. Cause even the LA Chapter, which was headed by Alprentice "Bunchy" Carter, started in the last few months of 67.

He’s actually saying Raymond had already been there in 1973… and the BGF got at him. He clearly stated BGF was bigger but when he got there in 74 (February) and the Crips was getting deep. He states one name and says he not saying the others because they are up for parole. If you know about the crimes and the wars of 1972 and 1973 you will realize the Crips started to pour into Tracy after trial at that time. When he says 5-1 I agree that sounds like a stretch but logically thinking, all the BGF wasn’t located in Tracy on the mainline. They were spread out in several prisons and in the hole. Meanwhile, the Crips was all landing in Tracy to begin their tours. Crips didn’t flood the entire prison system until approximately 1980 and those wars was centrally located in Folsom.

Once you understand that, and the fact Raymond was recruiting Crips on the yard before he was stabbed, you can start doing the math. At which point, you may just sit back and realize that every member of the BGF wasn’t in Tracy. There was also San Quentin, Soledad, and Folsom. Meanwhile the Crips was hitting Tracy.
