Hi Jojo and Peter!Thanks for the great tour around Kew! I’m impressed at how well the older buildings are cared for! We have plenty of wooden buildings near us that haven’t lasted as well- of course there are some brick ones too, they’ve done much better. I like the details on the 1860s / 1870s, buildings, with all the fancy details along the rooflines and the porches. Very nicely done, fun to see Ruby too! 😄🌻🌻🌻👍

It is always amazing to me how many buildings from the 1800s still exist in the cities and towns you visit. I am not aware of any buildings that old in our area (though we do, of course, sometimes find buildings that old at historical sites that are run as museums).But you have inspired me to start Googling to see if there are any historical societies around here with a listing of historical homes. The architecture of these old buildings in Kew was fascinating to look at. We remember your previous video on the Kew Asylum. That was pretty much all we knew about Kew prior to this. It was interesting to hear about Peter's family's history at that local church. Great work as always Joseph and Peter - and Ruby too!

We are very fortunate to still have some of these beautiful buildings remaining. But somehow the investors seem to by these properties let them become so dilapidated, that they become to dangerous to restore. The huge property investors somehow get around the heritage Overlays. In some circumstances they are fined heavily, but for some that is just a slap on the hand compared to million dollar properties they build on the land. I have a studley park near my home to, but it’s a golf course 😆😆. Approx 10kms from me. R.M Williams is big in my neck of the woods along with rain at the moment ☹️. Great to see you men out in better attire than jumpers. I enjoyed your confidence in speaking out in a public forum next to passers by I think that’s fantastic. I have a lot to catch up on as I changed my direction in life this year. I went back to uni and am currently studying law. You would be proud as well guys as being a fellow mature age individual I was able to top the cohort in my first semester. There was only 116 students however. This has taken considerable time and why I have been away from KZbin. I haven’t mentioned it on my channel as it did not wish to publicise it to anyone. There are both abundance of Victorian architecture and contemporary buildings as you introduced to the audience. I am amazed by the much-aged architecture that still exists and is in use. Of all, I am very fond of this "Limited" National Bank.3;50 and Great Hall. How about you? I just hope this charming town stays as it is. Well done. Some times people say jokingly "ah you live in Far Q, (F**k U) 🤣 It is funny you mentioned the National Bank as for the first time the National Bank has left the building and now it is up for Lease. The great Hall is amazing, Love that building. Many of the iconic building have heritage overlays on them, so they are protected. Let's hope they remain that way. Guys another great video, i love these heritage places you go to and I was surprised at the number of churches here , so nice to hear about Peters parents being married at Sacred Heart and his grandparents living over the road. A few months after we first move to melbourne in about 2015 or 16 we went to the Hotel Kew because it started serving burgers from one of our favourite burger places in Sydney. But it was only a pop-up or something for a few months unfortunately. I since found out the burger place has opened in Chadstone but it is a bit too far from here in the deep north 😁 I wouldn't mind doing the row boat thing on the Yarra but I think I may have been too traumatised by our experience in Japan 😂

What a shame that the Hotel Kew has closed, but they have bastardised that building so much that you cannot see its original facade. I used to enjoy Chadstone, but it is so huge! What was the name of the burger place Shane? A row boat on the Yarra would be an awesome thing to do this summer, do it for the kids. You know they would love it. @@CowboyJojosAdventures Yes Chadstone is way to big. We've been a couple of times and I doubt we'd go back - too crowded. Churr Burger is the burger place. We've never been to the Chadstone outlet but we used to go to the Sydney shop all the time - I think it was Albion Street Surry Hills. The chef, Warren Turnball, used to have one of Australia's best fine dining restaurants on the site, Assiette, but he closed it down and re-opened as a burger bar. We used to go to Assiette quite often so we surprised at first when it closed to become a burger bar 😂 The menu at Chadstone doesn't look as extensive as Surry Hills. The salads and milkshakes I remember being great too.
