This song is absolutely haunting. It makes me feel a profound, bittersweet sense of loss.

on the contrary. I think this song is about letting you haunting ghost go and overcome the fear of them, letting go and jump of the ledge into an new life, free of you ghost of the past. Never or less,.. interpretation is up to everyone personally and moderat created an absolut bliss of a song here.

I walk in-between What do I see Blank-eyed angel Staring through me The room filled with stars On astrology cards Porcelain figures Of what used to be The ghosts that haunt Were in there with me I walked to the edge And all the fear left me I went to the grass Searching to hide The song’s clear and Dazed from my mind The ghosts that haunt Were in there with me I walked to the edge And all the fear left me The ghosts that haunt Were in there with me I walked to the edge And all the fear left me Oh, I saw it Standing in a sigh Went through the grass And there on the edge All the fear left me Whoa, I saw it Standing in a sigh alone I ran through the grass And there on the edge All the fear left me I ran through the grass And there on the edge All the fear left me I ran through the grass Jumped off the ledge All the fear left me

this is srsly one of the finest moments in german music creation,.. if not of the world. What Moderat created here is the purest and deepest emotions, cast into a wonderfull song about letting old ghost (traumas) of the past go and be brave enough to start anew. you gotta love those guys

Juris Balandins lorn, Jamie xx, apparat, nosaj thing, Bob Moses, darkside, Nicolas jaar, massive attack. I personally think radiohead has some very similar qualities, in fact, I think apparat's singing is pretty influenced by Thom Yorke. I think this song is even a direct nod to pyramid song with lyrics "I jumped in a river and what did I see? Black eyed angels swam with me"

The line about "Black Eyed Angels" immediately brought me back to "Pyramid Song". Thematically they feel like kindred spirits to me, but they are otherwise quite different. Unique (and beautiful) takes on a similar prompt.

literally no different than standing around with any other instrument, and the awkwardness is all on your end
@SUPADUPA3337 жыл бұрын

@LukewarmBong7 жыл бұрын
No it really is different than standing around with an instrument. Do you play an instrument? It actually requires more skill than finding the correct nob and turning it left or right. I know there's gonna be a ton of people defending this group on their own video page and that I'm not gonna have the popular opinion here but the fact of the matter is it takes a fraction of the skill and practice to do and that just makes it boring to watch. At least for me. Not to mention how limited it becomes if you want to put any kind of expression into your playing When you see an actual skilled musician live one of the appeals is seeing how intricate as well as how fast he can pull off what he does. Not everyone listens to music for the same reason but for people like me who want to actually see something compelling live, this just isn't it. Idc if I'm the turd in the punchbowl on this one I'm not gonna blind myself to the reality of what's happening here. A couple of tools using buttons on machines to play the music for them... Vocals are the only skilled part of this group as far as I'm concerned. But that's just my shitty opinion \o/
