J is just too cool. Dino Jr. was playing a show in my city (Toronto) the night after my prom, back in '07, and it didn't matter how obliterated/hungover I was gonna' be, I was making it to that show, fake ID and all (it was a really bad fake, but worked- door guy had a chuckle). I remember part of the opening bands act was that they made pancakes on a portable griddle they bought on stage while playing music. Anyways, there I am right at the front, watching the opener, when J comes and stands right next to me, we're shoulder to shoulder, to watch the opener and enjoy some free pancakes, haha- awesome. That Dino Jr. show is safely the loudest show I've ever been to (followed by The Mars Volta opening for RHCP in 2006)- hearing was wonky for days. Great memories, listening to J/Dino makes me so nostalgic- one of the first acts I "discovered" on my own, when coming into my own musical consciousness. Thanks for the awesome upload- KEXP 4 life!
