As an audio engineer it’s amazing when a band can sound better live than the studio recordings, that’s a rare trait that isn’t appreciated enough in today’s music world.

To me what's stunning about Jungle is how it sounds like what some of the worlds best DJ's put together, but instead of samples it's a live band. You get the focus on a steady, groovy beat, with repetition that doesnt get tiring. But you also get the skill and fidelity of all instruments being played by such talented musicians.

My God, I love this group!! 💗 They bring me back to the days of EWF, LTD and many other soul and R&B groups of the 70's. Difference here is a total modern new generation sound! Jungle is the truth!!! Having so many people singing at the same time not only adds to the depth of their sound but creates a level of synchronization that feels so rare! Like taking the black keys and putting it to another multiple. So good! Love Cheryl and KEXP for giving them a space to share their style. Love you all!

When I saw them for the first time in Mexico in 2015 at a festival they had an hour delay to adjust the sound. No other band from that festival did anything similar, and the result was a PERFECT sound for the gig.

KEXP is a national treasure. Jungle is fantastic. They remind me of a modern version of The Bee Gees but better because I am not a huge fan of The Bee Gees. Also, I noticed Jungle has new backup singers. I know the previous guy and gal were some of their best mates, at least that is what they have said in interviews. I wonder what happened to them.

The girl (I think her name is Rudy?) decided to venture out and do her own thing with her life but there are no hard feelings and much love between them. And the guy (I can’t remember his name unfortunately) has been focusing on his own projects. I believe he is focusing more on theatre. But they’re all still great friends.

i have constantly sought good music for many decades, why haven't heard of Jungle until today? gotta say, the name is good, that's what drew me to the video. I wonder if they actually play any actual Jungle (DnB) . doesn't matter, I dug this almost 60ish acid jazzy stuff... that drummer has a nice touch! classic motown style bass. incredible studio-quality live performance!

you definitely should if you can. i went to their russian gig mentioned here by cheryl, also having to leave my hometown just to see them, and oh boy it was so worth it (it’s not that i’d didn’t know that tho since that was the second gig of theirs for me haha). they’re mental live and no video could even remotely give you that raw feeling of hearing the tunes and seeing the lads just giving their all on stage 🤍

Deserve more than this. I didn't know this band before, but it was in FIFA 21 that I recognized and went to research in youtube and loved their band, I like this neo soul style. As a music lover, I appreciate many styles and this one of modern soul or neo soul as you like, is Good. I hope they have more successes.
