For me there are two kinds of music: On the one hand there is music, you may like right away but after a few times listening to it you get tired easily. And then there is music like Tame Impala or Pond, whose songs you may not like the first time you hear it, but once you like it, you can’t get enough of it for the rest of your life. When that’s the case you know it’s pure quality.

Tame impala is not a band but just Kevin Parker. The only reason there are other people with him during live performances is because he cant do all the instruments on the spot.
@itsnearlv
@itsnearlv Жыл бұрын
@@frostbitesponge9958 I think it's fair to say Tame Impala is actually both. For all recording purposes, Tame Impala is Kevin Parker, he is everything your hear when you listen to the music. Tame Impala does not exist without him. But as performers, Tame Impala is also a band with the same static members for years. I feel like you can't really count out the other 4 members like that.

Kevin's use of falsetto in outro 7:14 is incredible! "Baby, now I'm **falsetto** reaaadyyyy, moving on Oh, but maybe I was **falsetto** reaaadyyyyy all along Oh, I'm ready for the **falsetto** mooomeeent and the sound Oh, but maybe I was **falsetto** reaaaadyyyyy all along". This is much more apparent when he performs live unlike the album version and he puts all his soul in the outro. What a bliss to the ears!

I just recently got into Tame Impala after I saw an ad for their show in Portland here. My wife really loves them so we went and watched it and I was blown away at how psychedelic it was. I had just assumed they were like these ivy League frat boy kind of semi hipsters. I had just heard the hits and didn't know they had all the obscure weird stuff too. I went back to my KZbin history and found that I watched that going backwards video in 2014, and then watched another video a year ago in 2020. And that's like as deep as I ever went. And now I'm listening to all of their albums 24/7 and watching years of performances.

Here in Japan its price is pretty close to some MIJ fender JMs so it's not that cheap either I guess. Maybe the price gap is wider in the West though.

this is music which eclipses itself. according to me such a radical change only happens once in a generation . it is greater experience than doing drugs , alcohol and life itself.

I remember my first time listening to impala I was on acid and had played all my playlist, then I seen the currents album cover art and thought it was cool. Next thing I know I was in heaven : ) , it took me to a such a pretty and peaceful place I’m so thankful for that experience ❤️
