Why this guy isn't an absolute giant of the music world I'll never know.

I'd give anything to hear him play live. First heard about him years back when Yahoo music was still a thing. Working in the packaging room of a hospital pharmacy compounding some kind of controlled substance. Heard Lil Wallet Picture and fell head over heels internally. Dropped my syringe, whipped my gloves off, and scrawled his name on a post-it. After work I marched down to Love Garden and asked them to please sell me all of the Richard Buckner music that they had. I've been ride-or-die evangelical since, but the universe will not allow me to see him play a set. I have a travel fund, passport, and vacation days set aside for when the panorama is over and tours are back on. Even if I have to get on a plane and then hitchhike to a bar in Montreal, this is happening.

One of the greatest song writers of our time. He’s devastatingly underrated unfortunately. He’s one of my heroes.

Bought his album “Bloomed” in a bargain bin at a record store many many years back and I was blown away and nearly left in tears by the time the album finished. Great songwriter.

How did I slept so long on this incredible artist? He surely seems to be one of the most underrated singer songwriters out there.

He definitely is. I think he's writing novels now but i wish he'd get back into music.

Most of us came across him in very arbitrary ways, but just thankful to have come acrossed his music at any point.

Richard Buckner is as genuine as they come... Somehow, within the process of expression, he seems to find the notes by accident. This makes what he has to say all the more mortal and legit. I can't wait to see him again.

Got to see RIchard Buckner in 99 or 2000, at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. Amazing show-- he kept ordering "large adult beverages" and got progressively drunker as the show progressed. Far from negatively affecting the quality of the performance, he just got better. At one point, in the middle of a song, he paused, fretted a chord, and began beating the guitar on the stage slowly, making the chord ring. This lasted about thirty or forty seconds-- it sounds a little silly, but believe me, it wielded maximum emotional impact. It was such a heavy moment. After the show, my girlfriend and I approached him and chatted a little. As we talked, he never once took his eyes off my girl's breasts. It was pretty hilarious. He was seriously drunk-- red-eyed, slurring. But apart from his oglings, he was still very charming.
