To move someone in a profound and often excellent way without the advantage of knowing what is being said in the lyrics is far out and rather primordial in the best way.

You're not alone! Seen them LIVE last night, Wroclaw, Poland. Great performance, true ambassadors of a high culcure in spe. Perfect execution, plus emotions clearly shown and experienced through what they do on stage. Downside is they are (willingly) forced to sacrifice their life (and income) now to support activities of the UA people, especially the UA army figthing back the lost-minded agressor.. Greatings from Poland Chris

After caring almost 24/7 for my father suffering from Parkinson’s losing him abruptly in a bad way I found myself with cash saved but due to fecking Covid the possibility of moving back to New York City I felt the need to not be stationary. Inspired by Ian Frazier’s Travels Siberia and the profound wonderful effect felt from watching Dhaka Braka’s live KEXP the one Baby closed out maybe 50 times I decided I would travel through out the Ukraine and see if my love of this band and football would take me. Not knowing the language I would really on Dhaka Braka, Sheva, Rebrov and Lobanovskyi. Maybe hone up on my FC Donetsk Shakhtar history. I felt surely a good book was in there or at least adventure.. a possible fatal adventure but really the best ones usually are. Than after witnessing the full on war at the aforementioned Donetsk a few years earlier in that rather predictable and vile way how sociopaths in power so blindly and foolishly tend to do Ukraine was invaded and thus the great Dhaka Braka common love of football trip experiment was over. Though with daily reminders of a parent and best friend hitting me like a baseball bat and waves of guilt and sadness greeting me when I woke up and went to bed perhaps I should have pulled a audible to a Dhaka Braka, common love of football and helping defend a proud nation should have occurred the fatal adventure factor ramped up for sure. After seeing how the Ukrainian people stayed stoic, defiant and so flippin unflappable in the face of an enemy that would overwhelm most stern and proud countries I decided they were probably better off without the idiot American “writer” muttering “Dhaka , Rebrov , clearly Spain or Italy were better choices for his style of play than the Prem but ya never know…” nearby a bomb explodes on impact “ crazy on the track Baby how does he get his voice so high and yes her vocal solo at the end does seem to tear through the very fabric of time itself..” Cowering clutching my pen and notepad as every form of hell rained down around me. No the Ukrainian people had enough on their plate not needing the decision of “ should we carry the random dude mumbling consistent gibberish, doesn’t seem injured physically but injured clearly not injured but what’s the word … he is clearly touched in the brain.” So I bravely well in my own way bravely took one for the team and stayed where I be for the greater good of all involved. I guess that’s technically the rest of people residing on,earth? 🤔
