Hi there , I’ve changed my ccu on my FL 1 td4 , I can’t sync my key fob ? does it need programmed or is there a procedure ?

The usual procedure to sync is keep repeatedly pressing about 4 times lock and then unlock x4. Try repeating a few times if it is able to sync it will. If it is unmatched to ccu it won’t and will need programming i think.

@@gixxercorona sounds like it will need programming then, as you can’t use any old key fob / ccu combination otherwise you would be able to open any car.

Internet search “ remote control fob replacement” plus your area. Or “auto locksmith”. They will need to program it to your car. Also try www.technozen-electronics.co.uk/mg-rover-land-rover-remote-fob-services/

So you did not take the battery out then

I checked the voltage, which was ok at 3v. (8mins). So didn't change it. It is however often best to change the battery to save time later, see the comment at 9mins about syncing up again afterwards.
