key said he wanted each look to be like a distinct character, he didn't want to seem like just one person in different outfits. he wanted to embody these different gods that are inspired by both western and eastern beliefs. and of course it's key, so he was very involved with the styling (and all other aspects of the album!)!!! it was really cool to see his thought process during the behind the scenes videos. i still can't get over these looks!!!

Key definitely achieved that! Each look has a totally different vibe but they're still incredibly cohesive. Key and Punky Spider are a dream team 😍

Of course key is gonna bring everything. He plans the details of his comebacks so well. I like so many songs off of this album and have been listening nonstop. I can't wait for a full shinee in 2023 after taemin's return. The solos are stunning but shinee together is something else

Ever since I saw the concept photos I've been obsessed with this comeback. Key did not hold back 💕 I hope you had a fabulous holiday though not gonna lie I was waiting for you to come back for this MV 🤣. As you pointed out I loved the androgyny of majority of the outfits. Considering Key wanted to portray a "god" or "higher being" its so cool he decided to go the gender neutral route while incorporating the curifixs tieing back to that idea. Along with it being a trend. I have to say the gold outfit is my favourite. The amount of pure beauty and sexiness just blows me away every time.

Key did not hold back!!! Thank you haha, I hope it was worth the wait. It felt like I was on vacation for such a long time. It was well needed though. Yeah 100%! The visuals and the styling are perfect and as you said, giving us gender neutral styling whilst portraying a higher power, very smart move! Punky Spider is starting the trend, we'll have to see where else it goes 👀 the gold is absolutely beautiful and the beauty shots with the gold leaf on Key's face woooow

Was waiting for your reaction to this!! :) What I love most about the Gasoline looks is that they're all extremely maximalist, but done so well and cohesively. I think minimalism can suit anyone's look, but only certain people can pull of the over-the-top styling~ like Key! I also love how the first time I saw these looks, they felt like something I had never seen before, especially the skeleton outfit (I was kind of iffy about it at first, but then saw his music show performance with it on and felt like it added a whole dimension to the dance when it moved with him). Thank you for your reaction, George! I always look forward to your videos & noticing new details I hadn't before! I love every song, but I find myself listening to G.O.A.T & I Can't Sleep lately~

I read somewhere (no idea where) that the mask of the leather outfit and the hat of the fur one where made to resemble a scarab. "The scarab beetle is symbolic of Khepri, the Egyptian sun deity who represents creation and rebirth" is what is written in Wikipedia and you are spot on to suggest that it gives off Egyptian vibes. Especially when you see the sun at the end on the MV burning in his eyes. I believe that's where the MV was going, at the end, showing his rebirth as a God. And frankly, he is a fashion God. After all he was actively involved in all the stylistic choices as well!

I completely agree, the golden headpiece makes him look cute! For me it looks like antlers, and he gives me young, innocent deer vibes. Like a young nature deity that has freed itself and is now crowned.

I'm not sure how true this is, but I saw a tweet showing that the black cutouts Key is wearing is actually a bathing suit of some kind so yeah very androgynous indeed. Also, very reminiscent of when Taemin wore a sports bra.
