key is awesome! I wish he was more appreciated as a soloist. I know that many know him for being the "dance machine" and knowing all the choreographies and for variety shows, but as a soloist wow he is on another level.

Everything you see and hear with "Killer" has Key's signature stamp on it. It's his title track from his repackaged album, which is a follow up to his previous "Gasoline" MV and album, so they have a similar aesthetic. From his outfits to the backup dancers looks, to the set design and story concept, as well as the song lyrics, and the whole album -- including the album packaging -- was designed by him. He is involved in the entire creative process when it comes to his solo work and everything you see and hear is what he envisioned for this entire album/repackage concept. Every aspect is all part of his design. Key said his style is more like retro '80s/'90s MTV, so that's the treatment they used to come up with his solo concepts and styles. So far, the retro aesthetic is the look and feel he has had for all of his solo MVs and albums. And he has only dove in deeper with the retro concept after he came back from the military. Since gaining artistic control of his solo releases with his "Bad Love" album, he has been building a whole world based on retro sci-fi TV shows/movies and comics, etc. When it comes to his solo stuff, you never have to question who was the stylist because I guarantee that it will always be him. He has gained a reputation for his fashion, so he is involved in all aspects of the styling for everything he does these days. He would never just passively stand by and allowed someone else to tell him what to wear. And because Key was involved in creating the storyline for his MV, he was also involved in the whole aesthetic, including clothing and costume choices. I can see how you might think Key is harkening back to Michael Jackson with his "Thriller" reference and the one glove, but I don't think the one glove has any real symbolic significance beyond the fact that it was a style choice that Key made because he is always on trend, if not one step ahead, with everything he does. I'm sure the main reason he chose it was that he just thought it looked cool and went well with the aesthetic of the outfits he was wearing, as well as fit within the retro style of the whole project. (Wearing one glove doesn't always have to mean that that person is trying to be like MJ, Michael just started a fashion trend that happens to still be cool today.) When people say, "there is no one or nothing out there like it," they are right. Key is 100% that artist. A legend on par with Taemin's legendary concepts and styles. No wonder they are both members of SHINee. SHINee are also known as one of the best vocal groups in the whole Kpop industry. So what you just heard from Key is why SHINee are one of the top groups that everyone looks up to, they all have superior vocal abilities. SHINee are legends for their live vocals and amazing dancing. The ONLY thing the members of SHINee are not good at is lip syncing, so they have specifically trained since their debut -- by doing intense cardio exercises, such as running long distances or running up stairs while singing at the same time -- to build stamina and endurance, in order to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight and always sound flawless while performing these intense choreographies. It may be shocking because they sound so perfect live even though they are dancing so intensely, but that is why they are such legends and why they are so highly respected by everyone. If you were to listen to Key singing a cappella while performing this intense choreograph for "Killer", he would sound just as flawless as in the MV. That is why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive and nobody was performing the way SHINee was doing it. And although, as a member of SHINee, Key is considered one of the top vocalists in the industry, he is also a lead rapper. So he can literally do it all. Key is also considered SHINee's dance copy machine. He has the ability to see and remember choreography the fastest in the group. He has a photographic memory when it comes to choreography, so he only needs to watch the dance once and he has it memorized. SHINee are always on another level and they are constantly outdoing themselves with every new project. It amazes me after more than 14 years that SHINee can still continue to reinvent the Kpop industry with every new release, whether it's as a group project or one of the member's solos, and yet they do it every time without fail. SHINee are the originators and trendsetters of everything you see Kpop groups doing today. SHINee where designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song and dance SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never see the exact same style or sound from them in any of their songs or dances. Nothing you hear from them or the members' solos will ever be exactly like anything you have ever seen or heard before, and yet it will be very much "their style." The members of SHINee raise the bar even higher with every performance. And that's what makes them SHINee. :D

Kibum knew we needed that bit of silence at the end just to absorb the PHENOMENAL fabulousness we just experienced. As an 80s kid (‘81), this slays every bit of nostalgia heaven for me. I haven’t found ANYONE that slays this genre like Kibum/Key. Sure, there are those who do a good job, but Kibum OWNS this concept. He doesn’t just emulate the era-he drags it into the present and makes it HIS. I’ve been listening/watching to this nonstop since premiere and the whole album will be on repeat for the foreseeable future. Super stoked about the bonus reaction to Excuse Me Miss-it’s definitely an ICONIC performance!!!!

SHINee been in the industry for 15 years but they always feel so fresh and youthful.. somehow. Even the critics and industry people say this.

This performance of "Excuse Me Miss" (BTW, you missed the second s in miss in the title of your reaction video) was from SHINee's SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul in 2015. However, the song was originally released in 2013. And yep, still timeless. This is the concert where the majority of SHINee's best live performances are from, and I guarantee that your viewers will eventually request you react to every song and every stage from this concert, because that's how iconic this concert is. If you watch this full set or, even the full concert, you will see why Jonghyun goes into that phone booth at the end. (Each of them are going to their own phone booth on stage.) They are about to perform their next song, "One minute back." And you also really need to see their performance of "Close the Door," which they performed right before "Excuse Me Miss." Fun fact: The live performance is an extended version of the song. If you pay attention, right before Jonghyun, "went off" what he said in English is, "This is a new bridge, listen." SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Their main vocalists are pretty good rappers and their rappers can fill in as main vocalists at any time. Once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. Most Shawols (SHINee fans) will tell you we can tell who is speaking or singing within 1 second even with our eyes closed with them standing in a crowd of screaming fans. I can tell who is singing every line of their songs even if it's a brand new song that I have never heard. Each of their voices are that unique -- there is no one with a voice like any of theirs. That is why they are "The Princes of Kpop". SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when SHINee lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. So unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, SHINee will always sing live. And EVERY time SHINee performs a song it will be different than what you have experienced before. That is why SHINee are one of the best performers in the industry. SHINee live is just as good the 100th time you see them perform a song as they are the first time you see it because they always make it unique. You never get tired of their songs because they know how to make it seem like a whole new experience every time. SHINee literally set the standard when it comes to live performances. It is actually known as the SHINee standard and it's what all other groups strive to reach. SHINee are Idol's Idols and legends among legends for a reason. They are one of the groups that pretty much made Kpop what it is today. Someone has reuploaded the whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video, kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIXOn4KCmtiImZY. It really feels like you are right there at this concert. You should watch this whole concert sometime on your own, even if you can't react to it. :D You really can't fully grasp just how magnificent of performers SHINee are until you watch a full concert from beginning to end and see what makes a SHINee concert so unique.

This is a very bad pun, but Key Killed It with this repackage. I love Gasoline and Killer equally, but for different reasons. I so glad that SM finally let Key do everything the way that he wanted, this was literally all Key! Now about "Excuse Me Miss", when you said "sir chill", I laughed out loud. This is SHINee LIVE, they don't know the meaning of "chill"🤣. Even the slower tempo songs and ballads are 🔥.
