Oscar was the name of will smiths character in the 2004 smash hit "Shark Tale". In the film, smith plays a down on his luck fish holding aspirations of fame, money, and status. Oscar is consistently brought down to earth by his best friend and assured love interest Angie (Portrayed by the always lovely Rene Zelle Weger) After a harebrained gamble goes south for Oscar, he is nearly left for dead at the hands of his boss, Sykes. (played by the impeccable Martin Scorsese) Through complete happenstance, Oscar manages to evade his impending doom and is misunderstood to be a "Shark Slayer", which begins to earn him all that he desired near the beginning of the film. However, one denizen of the deep knows Oscars secret. A shark named Lenny (Brought to life by the brilliant performance of Jack Black) was present at the "shark slaying" and knows it to be nothing more than an accident. I won't spoil the remainder of the story here, but rest assured the film is packed with hijinks, gasps, and laughs the whole family can share. 8.3 / 10.
