Not true. In 2002, during a Comedy Swap between Boom Chicago and the Second City theatre in Chicago, Peele met Keegan-Michael Key, and the following year both became performers on the sketch comedy TV show MADtv. Peele, a master of impersonation, remained on the show through 2008.

What I love about Key and Peele in nearly all their sketches is that they don’t attempt to distribute laughs throughout every few seconds…instead, they just take us through absurd scenarios that makes us snicker, cause it’s just funny to hear the voices and watch the bizarre interactions, but it does take a bit of patience to get to the punchline, which is usually some twist, but highly worth waiting for. I think in the age of 15 second TikToks that everyone mind not totally appreciate this. But in my opinion, comedy that takes its time is truly brilliant

I just showed this video to someone who got impatient while watching, and you just helped me realize why. He likes TikTok
@yevgeniyaleshchenko8494 ай бұрын
Well, in many of their scetches it's funny almost immediately or at least in the middle so you don't always have to ''wait'' because it's not just about the punchline but about the way there too. Also, only dumb kids watch tik toks so it's definitely not the ''age of tiktok'' to the point that ''everyone's'' mind is affected by this...
@kg3563 күн бұрын
That's why the youtube shorts that condense the sketches into 90 seconds aren't nearly as entertaining. They always leave out moments that aren't technically the punchline but are still hilarious

James D That was absolutely NOT a soulful, let alone Motown, outro. That was a Dion and the Teenagers and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons ass outro you fuckwad 😂😂😂. Get your white, racism-denialist ass out of here. The point of the joke was that he caste-typed and stereotyped Troy as something typically “black” even when he didn’t even do such an act. It’s a jab at the subtle, clueless, innate racism that whites (particularly upper-middle class white guys) have and don’t even know. Yes, you’re an idiot. No, you can’t fix stupid.

I'm looking back on these skits, and the cinematography and storytelling are actually brilliant. I shouldn't have been so surprised that Jordan Peele is knocking it out of the park in Hollywood.

It reminds me of one high school spoof movie, where there was one black kid in the group. He encountered another black guy at the party and was like "i'm the only black guy here". Other guy was like "oh shit, sorry m8, I'm gone, my bad". Can't remember the title.
