Yeah it's "easy as that" if a blown fuse is your issue bt there are actually many many other points in a vehicle that could cause the exact symptoms. Fuses, relays, sensors, broken/frayed wires, bad ignition switch, bad key/ignition transmitters, bad fuse box.. older vehicles were much simpler to diagnose and fix. Modern vehicles are far more complicated and frankly just a complete pain in the dick! They make these new automobiles with a million and one damn sensors; shit you don't even realize is there because they're hidden under seats and in the dashboard so that you have to spend money getting them fixed rather than doing it yourself. I'll take a clean older model ride over a brand new one any damn day!!!!!

You took out one fuse and car started, what was the problem ? Did you fix another fuse later ?

Blown fuse. He probably just had to buy another fuse to replace the one he removed. A blown fuse will cause the car to not start and for the dash lights to not work.

Hi, i have 2004 toyota corolla, my engine is starting but no power on the dash board and nothing is functioning even i cant select gear or wine up my door window glass. what should i do please the problem is driving me crazy and the technicians have called are not telling me the truth. it will work when they do it but the problem will resurface after some hours.

I have a 2005 got in it and turned the key and nothing at all no dash lights not even a click . waited a minute and turned the key again and I had dash lights and it started and has been doing so ever since don't know what was up ?????? as for the Fuse in the Video my question would be what made it blow in the first place ??

Cam 816 same thing happened to me just now, no power at all dead. And for me jumping it does nothing. No dash lights on. Nothing on.

Hi Gabriel, I have the same issue, no dash lights, motor won't turn over but everything else (accessories) are working. I have checked both 30amp fuses and they are fine as well. I also have checked every other single fuse and they are working. Do you think I have a faulty ignition switch? I can't think of anything else apart from it?

First thing before you jump to ignition switch I'd check your battery or battery cables and have your alternator tested.... my truck doing the same and I'm have the alternator checked today... just now got day off and it's sitting so can only do stuff walking or getting a ride or borrowing gf family car... my truck just kept dying on me the other day tho so my issue could be different

If that's fine then is then do you hear a clicking like noise? If not your starter probably bad... that's what I'm fix next if it's not the alternator or battery cuz I've replaced spark plugs and wires

Thanks for your video. I have a 2006 tacoma, and I had the exact same problem, that same fuse ( ign2) shut my car cold turkey while driving. I got scare thinking it was the computer or fuel pump. It is crazy that a $5 fuse can leave you in the side of the road. I carry a couple extra on my glove compartment for now on. Following link is a diagram of all fuses for 2005-2008 tacomas. Why is there no power to the ignition switch? My son has a 2000 Mercedes S500 V-8. A so called mechanic told him it would cost $2000 to fix it. He said that there is no power to the ignition switch.Can't he trace the power source? It could be just a fuse or a relay or, even a bad ignition switch!? A Mercedes mechanic said, if it/s not a bad fuse or relay, it's most likely the ignition switch. could there be a short to ground from the battery to the ignition switch? GOD bless.
