this is the best explanation to be honest, every one else's was unclear for me, but this one didn't fail once. It is simple, and 'fire from the two ends of the chord' is genius! works everytime! thank you sir!

Second what another said, this is hands down the best approach to understanding the Alternate Segment Theorem. I've watched many videos even Eddie Woo (Love him) but this is just better imo.

Khan Academy doesn't have a parallel video to explain this point. I keep watching this video and cant understand why x = 30 degrees in question a). Angles in a triangle should sum to 180 degrees. So the third interior triangle angle should be 180 - (30+100) = 50. But if a tangent meets a circle at a right angle and the third missing triangle angle is 50 then x should equal 90 - 50 = 40 degree. But you have found x to equal 30 degrees by the alternate segment theorem. Is my thinking erroneous here?

That's just an example. So, he should have used arbitrary numbers here! I mean, your reasoning isn't wrong here, but just for the sake of the topic, it doesn't matter.
