Because they signed a plea agreement early on in the case. They didn’t see things this far in the future, they didn’t imagine how hard it would be to get up on that stand and cross your friends. These events should show the youth it’s not worth it.

I presume he did, to get around it he was given State immunity from charges, but now is continuing to assert the 5th which is cheezing off the Judge and Prosecutor because they can't stop him from doing it.
