Ok. Coming from someone who was raised as an Orthodox Jew, non of what I’m reading is correct. My neighborhood had plenty of black Jews and we aren’t “genetically black” or whatever that means. Also jewish people can live in the “burbs” or the city. All of this is very untrue. We are just like anyone else. And the stereotype that we hve never seen a black man before is ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with being black, jewish, gay, etc. it’s different that doesn’t make one group of ethnicity or religious beliefs so insanely different than another

Some say "why doesnt God just wipe out all the evil in the world?" But people dont realize that would include them too if they do not have the blood of Christ covering their sins. God is patient with mankind. 2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. I believe this is the more accurate reference tbh. At least for the Gefilte Fish aka Gafilta Fresh name. And yes it fits as it is traditionally served as an appetizer by Ashkenazi Jewish households.

@@ImperativeGames And they got systematically burned, shote and killed. Sometimes they didn't jzst let them starve to death but let them work until they were unable to work anymore and than they got killed. When they arrived in train wagons like over 100 per wagon, they often separated the people that were able to work from old and ill people and children and those went into room that looked like showers but actually were gas rooms in which they tested the effectiveness of different gasses to kill. You saw some mother crouching around their kids in a desperate attempt to save their children. They weren't called ghettos but "Konzentrationslager" or if you translate it literally construction camps. There were only a few heros who tried and also succeeded to hide Jews and they would always risk their life if thwy did this. Ever heard of Schindlers list? Schindler was a German fabric owner who witnessed the first camps (they weren't that "effective" in killing at the beginning) and so he created a plan to save as many people from those camps as possible. He pretended to take them as cheap work force and wrote down their name on a list. But in truth he gave them better places to sleep, food, better clothe and medicine whne they were ill etc. He still had to make them work to keep up the facade but they were able to survive and a lot of people who are descendents from the people who he saved own their lives to him. When the allies won the war, they looked for war criminals they tried to in prison Schindler, but the people he saved (and knew from his plans) stood up for him and said that he wasn't a war criminal but hero to them.

@Ryan Adkins Israeli Jews are an ethnic mix of Sephardim (literally "Spanish" in Hebrew) who are descended from the original Hebrew tribes from biblical times before they were exiled by the Romans to the diaspora, and Ashkenazim, European Jews who are most likely descended from Slavic converts hundreds of years ago during mass European conversions (though it's difficult to prove conclusively). Then there are Black/African Jews, originally from Ethiopia, who also probably date back to biblical times but may have been subject to conversion. I'm not sure which group makes up the majority of Israel's population but I suggest reading more about it if you're interested.

I worked a million Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in the NY area, and this is sooo dead on. They had to have been to at least one to even know this to be true. Or maybe one of their writers is Jewish...no one would know this without actually going to one. Every single party had these “dancers” that basically do exactly what they’re doing in the skit.

I worked for a company that set up photo booths at these parties and took ppls photos against a green screen, then super imposed them into funny backgrounds, and then printed them on various party favors like mugs, t-shirts, or just framed the photos. It was an additional entertainment item for the party and let people take a party favor home. Very popular in the Jewish community in NY, and a staple at most bar/bat mitzvahs.

Wait, let me get this right, you think it might be possible that there is a Jewish writer for a TV show? Did you attempt to fact check this? I'm not sure Jewish people are even in Hollywood. My bet is that key and peele were invited to a bat mitzvah and that's how they learned enough to make this skit, because a Jewish writer is unheard of.

Also Jewish from Long Island and can confirm. The MCs/hype man are generally POC who over the course of their careers doing a lot of these have learned more Hebrew than half of the attendees know lol. Really sweet people. This is an amusing reality that I'm glad Key & Peele did a video on. I'd like to think there's less overt racism in it than characterized here but I think it would be naive to dismiss the idea that the deviation from the homogeneous nature of the community is somewhat played for laughs.

Are you an American Jew? Yeah the rest of the world are not like this. And as a Sephardi Jew, may I say it's usually the rich Ashkenazi Jews who may act like that, but even then, most Jewish do not have that attitude. We appreciate hard work and admire those who come from harder backgrounds, because at the end of the day, that's were we started from...lol I'm still there😂 🇬🇧🇮🇱🇪🇸🇲🇦

I've been binge watching you guys since last week, introduced you to family and friends too. And then you did this. MANY THANKS for being consistently funny for so many years. Your 5-year-old videos are still hilarious and relevant.
