I was so torn between the keychron q1 he, the wooting 60he, and waiting for the wooting 80he, so I really appreciate this video. I think I will go for the keychron after watching this for the wireless connectivity, volume knob and superior build quality. I do prefer having actual arrow and function keys. Now if wooting makes a 75% he with volume knob and wireless options then I’d be sold.

I think for me and a lot of other people considering this keyboard, the selling point is the wireless modes. Wireless 2.4ghz for gaming with HE sounds great and something ive been waiting for. Any way that you can test the battery life or latency?

Considering the features - 2.4Ghz (1000Hz polling), QMK/VIA support, I would definitely choose Q1 HE, but the price was out of my budget, so I went with V1 Max mechanical switches with Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow (really like them and used them on my older modded K2 v2), didn't like the Gateron Jupiter Banana switches at all. I have ordered TTC Silent Frozen V2 switches to replace Gateron to make it more silent. Also got a set of Cherry PBT Double-Shot Dark Blue/Black keycaps (that comes with Xinmeng A66 keyboards), and I am really liking this V1 Max now. But, my next keyboard, in two years time, definitely will be based on magnetic switches and 75% layout. BTW, if Drunk Deer A75 had 2.4Ghz and good software that would be my choice considering it will be

Ive got a question tho. Apex related, all Keychron products have the same issue of registering multiple inputs in the wrong order (for lets say supergliding it does (C ) instead of ( C) what you need to be able to superglide which is fairly annoying because keychron makes some of the best products imo build quality wise). Could you maybe do a test if the HE reads multiple keystrokes with rapid trigger the same way the other Keychron products read them? Thanks for this video btw :)

The Keychron's actuation starts at a depth of 0.4mm. Wooting at 0.1mm. I prefer Wooting which has longer warranty

Ordered one to replace my 60HE, I was going to get the 80HE but wasn't a fan of them going with a non standard layout and consider that the Keychron is aluminum and comes with wireless options. The BOOG75 is nice too but I think their software is lacking compared to both Wooting and Keychron and again no wireless option if or when I may need to use it like that in the future.

I wonder how these boards compare to the akko mod 007b he. I have one with kailh sakura pink switches and it sounds pretty good at least compared to the akko cream yellows which ive tried and those sound noticeably worse even with mods

This has magnetic switches and rapid trigger like the wooting60he. The q1 max is a regular mechanical keyboard with regular switches. Basically, the q1he is made for gaming.
