Hey guys! I just wanna be clear, the fact that these are literally the worst or most vanilla of the cards I could find out of the entire card pool goes to show how awesome of a set this will be, and I hope I made that clear in the video. Most of these cards I mentioned will still be very useful in a lot of situations, but just not to the same extent or synergy as most others. I understand these cards are not Gargantes Scrapper levels of bad, and that's not what I'm trying to say or argue in this video. Winds of Exchange will be awesome if this is the worst I could find. Thanks!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!? If these are the worst cards in the set, the set is going to be amaziiiiiiiiiiiing! 😮

Exactly!! It'll be so good!

Tbh I feel like Cadet should've been here. His effect could've had more Star Alliance flavor, but as it is I don't see how one can easily benefit off of it. I also find the unfathomable tokens to be relatively lackluster

That would be an interesting pick as well! Cadet will be pretty finicky to use for sure, though I hope to see some cool chains players can pull off with him! If you can deal damage to him outside of a Star Alliance turn and ready creatures of the house you're in, that would be neat, but again, very finicky. Maintaining optimal battleline placements will be very difficult for Cadet, definitely. Interesting thoughts!

The fish token from unfathomable is great tbh. The others do seem underwhelming though

@@aembermedes was thinking of that as well and found a single upgrade in WoE that grants a Reap effect that deals damage to friendly creature as well. In the same house is an upgrade that grants Reap - make a token creature

Cadet is a card that demands combo pieces and requires judicious attention to battlefield placement. Just as a note, it is the only token aside from Berserker that could do a Ro6 with FOF transponder and the token (assuming some good placement)

I can see why there is disappointment in Sanctum this set...Revered Monk is one of the blandest cards ever printed. PYR*0 is interesting. I feel like it's better than Explo-rover as a creature because I think splash-attack 3 is better than a 3 power skirmisher, but an upgrade that gives skirmish has slightly more utility overall.

Yeah, Sanctum doesn't seem to quite match the level of some other houses in this set from what we've seen, and cards like Revered Monk are the reason. And yes, I think I would take PYR*0 over Explo-rover any day, though they both have their place lol!

Absolve is not so hard to setup since it's in a house of armor.
@aembermedes2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean that as in their armor will block most damage, but not all of it, so they'll still take minor damage and survive? If so, I think you're right, in that case armor could make Absolve easier to set up! But in most other cases wouldn't armor also prevent most minor damage, making Absolve even harder to set up for your creatures to capture, because all the damage was blocked?

My grouse is more on the fact that Cleansing wave as an aember generation beats capture. Aside from the fact that Absolve has more situations which are non favorable. Considering just the fighting with creatures. Cleansing wave is favorable when both your and opponent creature survives the Fight with damage or when your creature survives the Fight with damage. For Absolve, you really only want your creature surviving the Fight with damage.

I've said for a while now that I think the tokens are poorly balanced. It is strange how vast the power gap is between many. Many tokens are going to have WC Brobnar effects on decks. I assume this is intentional to get people to buy more decks?? A small minority of token creatures are going to compromise the vast majority of top WoE decks
@aembermedes2 жыл бұрын
There is quite a large gap between the power levels of certain token creatures, for sure! Like take Trooper vs. Prospector, for example! I think we'll just have to see more of the set before we know for sure how WoE decks will support their token creatures, but I definitely agree, some decks will probably suffer quite a bit from an inferior, anti-synergistic token, while others will thrive off an especially powerful one that enhances their deck incredibly well. We'll see!

it would be great to play a tournament with suscribers. Maybe sealed decks and winner gets a free WoE deck

This is an AWESOME idea!! I absolutely 100% need to look into this now...
