THIS IS A GOD SEND! I bought the script and I am so glad that I did, I used it to develop EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED! I basically wanted 16 dedicated pads and then up to 16 instruments using the keyboard and your template is what I based it off of. It's simple to update your template so thanks for getting the ball rolling. For others who want this setup, first, buy the template, it literally cost a Habit Burger and fries. Then go into midi control center and change the bank 1/select 1 program number from 0 to 16 then change the rest 1 to 17, 2 to 18 and so on. Next, go into FL Studio and make sure that the first 16 channels are samplers. Those are your 16 pads! Imagine what you can do! I have the top 4 set to samples and the bottom 12 to drums. The next 16 channels can be keys, synths, serum, omnisphere, scaler, slicex... Slicex was the main reason I wanted this setup. To be able to keep my slices contained and play them using the keyboard. Lastly, if you plan on using scaler or captain play, I suggest moving the instruments that they trigger to the bottom. For example, if you use scaler 16 times, make them cahnnels 17 - 33 after your pads and then the corresponding plugins like Omni, Keys, etc. If you don't need that many then don't worry about it.

Thanks a million for this AI Be, i initially got the KeyLab 49 with the intention on going down the Ableton route, but only having the KeyLab or a while did i discover Fl Studio which i now have as my DAW. But KeyLab 46 MkII and Fl Studio, what a misfit. I just revisited the issue again today, with the intention of replacing KeyLab 46, but found my way to your page. Thanks for much for this, small price to pay to bridge the gap b/w the Device & the DAW.

About to open up the read me file, but the issue i'm having is the key sensitivity. Feels like the sound barely comes in unless i'm slamming down my finger on the button. Probably just needs a slight adjustment in the midi control program. Thanks for the video bro, i loved this, it's helped a lot.

You can adjust the velocity curve in the MIDI editor tool or in FL studio MIDI Settings.

Yeah you can use the knobs and faders but they have to be set manually (outside of analog lab)

Yes you can. In the midi editor you can go to device settings in the top right and adjust it.

Question bro, if we use this template, and say we open analog lab within fl studio, will it still work as seamlessly as it would if the keyboard was set to analog lab mode and we opened the software as a standalone?

No you have to toggle the mode to analog lab. But you would have to do that regardless. Analog lab mode is really only good for controlling (some) arturia plugins

So I just bought the template and downloaded it, however I noticed that my midi control center for some reason doesn't show the "store to" option, and on my keyboard when I navigate to user 1 it still only shows me the default template. Also this might be unrelated, but every time I power off my keyboard and turn it back on, it goes into boot loader mode and installs the same exact firmware update, every single time, even though it always says it completed successfully. I'm using the MK2 88

Hey @Al Be I was just curious does the velocity for the pads not get record as well? when I record none of the velocity data is going through. Is this just how it is or is there a fix for this?

The template defaults to full velocity so no sensitivity is there. You can go into the device settings and change it. It's in the top right of the control center. Hope this helps.

I just purchased your template. It works very well, thank you so much for that. But unfortunately the regular default DAW MODE doesn't work now. Is there any opportunity to use ur template in USER MODE while not having to sacrifice the regular DAW MODE?

Yeah set your DAW mode to Mackie control in device settings in midi control center then in FL studio set midiin2 controller type to Mackie control. They should work then. If not let me know and I'll plug mine back up and test

Open the MIDI Control Center App and Import the file. Edit: Problem resolved. The problem I experienced below is due to the fact that there are 2 separate import buttons for 2 separate files. Leaving the comment in case anyone has the same issue. Al Be was quick to respond with info when I emailed him. Much appreciated. hey, just picked up your product. midi control center is only allowing me to import "KeylabMK2 49.keylabmkII_ds" and not "FLS-MPC-AlBev3.keylabmkII" like your video suggests. Firmware is up to date. Do you have any pointers on how to import the proper file?

You emphasize that you don't use the FPC like in other scripts. I don't understand why this method would be better than using the FPC? I mean, you can choose which ever mixer channels the FPC pads are routed to inside FPC, and easily create multi layered drums inside the same plugin. Please enlighten me because I'm not seeing how this method would be the preferred way.

It's mostly preference. Many people don't like fumbling with the FPC. With this method the MIDI data is already separated and channels already can be sent to their own mixer channel via the channel rack. With the FPC the way you manipulate the sample is similar but a totally different flow than manipulating it in the channel rack.

@@thisisalbe The only drawback for me is the fact that i cannot assign 16 pads and still use the keyboard. This template is perfect for Keylab essentials that feature only 8 pads. 8 drum pads and then 8 instruments. I have no buyers remorse, your template is perfect and helps me understand my keyboard, it's WELL WORTH THE COST OF A MEAL. Using your template I'm looking to explore using channel 1 for all the pads and assigning each pad to a specific note, thereby giving me 15 channels for instruments and slices. Good job! I'm thinking that I need to create an FLStudio template.
