Thanks brother... i just got the 2019 kia optima fe used.. only gave 1 key fob and a cut key and been wondering how you enter vehicle if the fobs battery died.. now i know thank you 🤝🏻👍🏻. I just noticed the trunk has an actual key hole and it made me look under the driver handle, just didn't know how to pop it off without breaking it as the key only went in about 1/8 inch👊🏻👊🏻💥

I have a 2017 Kia Optima LX 2.4L Gas 4 dr sedan While replacing my car's automotive battery, I left the battery's cables off, overnight. The following day, I reconnected the cables to their respective terminals and my Keyless Entry Fob (not a Smart Key) no longer worked. How do you get the car to recognize and sync with the keyless fob?

Okay that gets you in the car. But how do you start it if the key fob is dead ?

My car has me touch the start button with the key. I press the button, using the key fob and it starts. Then when the car says the key isn't in the car I just touch the start button with the fob.
