Amazing work done, Apollo! Proud Canadian to be an owner of the Phantom V4 and pleased to see the augmentations made for the Phantom 2.0! I am glad a Canadian brand is taking charge in e-scooter innovation! It's about time all these cookie-cutter e-scooters brands such as Kaabo, Vsett, and Nami take notes instead of bragging about power/speed!

*LOVE THIS REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* I want this Phantom! and I love my Apollo 2024 Dual Motor. I love the Apollo channel as well as they saved me alot of money. So many STEP BY STEP tutorials I used one of the tutorials to repair my Dual Motor. I dropped my Apollo on to its handle and severed couple throttle wires in the handle assembly. Not under warranty. So I disassembled handled via there great tutorial. I took apart and soldered the 2 wires that were severed. Back on the road in an hour! I always use my regen rarely use my reg brakes :) ... *Cheers😊IcloneFun🤗*

Love seeing the updated design with the 360 lighting. So many scooters out there come equipped with less than ideal lighting. Also liking the bigger tires and incorporation of hydraulic disc brakes. They look like they’ll be a blast to ride. Can’t wait to ride one of these.

Dedicated regen is one of the main features I had no idea I wanted, but the main reason I'm not on another brand by now. I installed hydraulics on my '23 Phantom, and I've got 5000kms on it now, and used my hydraulics 3 times. I do recommend hydraulics no matter what, the original brakes were simply awful - but that was $130, my first time installing brakes on anything, and took me about 3hrs (1hr of that was removing/re-applying the handgrips - which I recently replaced). Hydraulic brakes, a stem bag, a secondary light for nighttime riding, a phone holder, new handgrips & upgraded throttle/regen levers. If only maintaining my Subaru were so cheap/fun.

@@drgb6800 Saw a few instances where that happened. My brother's Phantom (6 months younger than mine) had a rear fender badly bent. I sympathize with Apollo over that, I mean the shippers must be shooting these things out of a canon. Called Apollo, sent them a pic of the fender, they sent a replacement via courier the next morning.

Sorry, I'm spamming this channel today, but I'm definitely in the "gonna get one" demo. Suggestions: 1. Auto-Lights: Lights all come on automatically with the scooter. Like daytime running lights - front an rear. Allow 'hazard' lights, such as people making deliveries who'll be back in a few seconds...maybe a personalized msg on the LED, like in Teslas. "Making Delivery, BRB ..Scooter Locked / Tracking Enabled". 2. Customizable drive modes - with maybe a 2-stage throttle lever with a threshold + bounce-pressure level, that gives you a temp boost or LUDO, and full control over the throttle response in each. Currently, I have throttle = 10 in sport mode, but I switch to 'comfort' mode, it's still at 10. To have the throttle response at, say, 7 for comfort mode, I have to stop, change it in the app, then continue. To put it back into throttle=10 for sport mode, again, stop, change, continue. Throttle response is everything. To this day, I still have no idea why anyone would ever limit a scooter to a specific speed in any drive mode, unless it's to lend it to a kid you don't trust to not get wrecked. I want to get out of the intersection at full speed, but once I'm in the bike lane again, put me back in Eco. That type of thing. If the user wants to add 10 of them, who cares, just allow them. 3. Speed-adaptive LEDs. a) Click the signal light to go left, you want the signal light to stay on til you're turned, but not longer. Have the signal light get bigger & bigger on the dash the longer it's on, maybe send an audible alert, until the signal light takes the entire LED to wake up the dozy fool ignoring it. b) If you're going fast & you only have a second to look down, if you're going, say, 60km/h in the rain - you want to see the speed, maybe the gear. Have the speed font get larger the faster you're going. c) Rather than showing the battery percentage on the LED, how about have it fill the outer borders of the screen, such as color coded lighting. 4. Bluetooth hosting. I ride with my Jabra earbuds. They play directly from my phone - music, but with "hear through" enabled. They also have great ANC for when I'm on a call or want to get rid of wind noise. If the scooter was able to transmit through BT, I'd hear warnings, signal light alerts, battery voltage/heat warnings, customizable. Kind of goes with the whole "increase til we get your attention" options in # 3. 5. Wireless charging. Maybe a mat the scooter can be stood on, or wall unit the scooter can lean against, to charge it without cables? If not that, then a magnetic, pull-away, approach-to-tether type of thing with automatic sensing port cover, so the port is protected per IP66/IP67 standards. Basically, one-handed plug-in and unplug.

Wow...congratulations on another level of scooter...I loved hearing that you listened to existing riders (both riding Apollo and other brands). I love my Phantom....but you're right I don't need to go 100KPH....I had a Wolf King GT Pro but not anymore ...I don't need to go that fast, that far or even deal with the weight .....I typically ride at around 30KPH....love also that you're focussing on the rider experience....the reason I ride an Apollo as my main scooter is that it's smoooooooth.....throttle and braking :) Love it so much....awesome hearing that you're making more improvements....can't wait to see it action. :) :) :)

Wow .. such a nice, classy looking product. It's great that you have so many service centers as I place a high value on parts and service. I especially like what you have done with the lighting. Hopefully the center post and 360 degree lighting will make its way to the city. With respect to safety concerns, I am looking for a scooter that has a safer battery chemistry, such as LFP or sodium. When I was in China last year I read an article that said that the government is pushing it's suppliers to provide replacement sodium based batteries for ebikes and scooters to address fire safety issues. I was interested in buying an ebike while I was in China, but they were not allowed in my building due to fire risks. Do you forsee offering either of these battery chemistries in the near future? If so, I forsee one of your scooters in my garage 🙂.

I don't have the answers, but I chat with Nami enthusiasts and specifically, there's someone I consider my 'guru' for scooters, a channel called '@eyebahnrides'. Ivan rides a huge variety, but most importantly, he puts a LOT of urban riding miles on his every day - in NYC/Manhattan. He is subsidized, but he's as expert as you're gonna find on real-world advice. His landlords (home and work) both required that he get rid of his Nami Burn-E Max and his favorite e-bike. He has a Klima Max as his main one now - my brother has one, as well as a '23 Phantom like I have. Apparently extremely quick to top speed. But Nami do NOT have UL Certifications so if his landlord asks, he's got to sell his. Not just his apartment, but his office too. I'm not sure which, if any, certs are recognized by landlords & insurance companies, but I spoke to my landlord before he even asked - I told him about the Apollo battery certifications (which are not cheap for Apollo to get), that it's no more dangerous than a cellphone or tablet. It can remain on a charger, fully charged, for days if it has to, but never does. I also have a CO2 fire extinguisher. I think that planted a seed with him, knowing that there are certifications/standards, and hopefully he tells his friends. The refurbished batteries & lack of restrictions on what batteries were imported to North America have caused a lot of probs - and if you've ever seen a battery fire, you'd see how intense that is. It's certainly no joke. Powder extinguishers will ruin all the electronics in your place - that stuff can't be vacuumed and it's corrosive. Use a C02 if possible.

I predict it'll be about $1k CDN cheaper than the Pro. It's basically a Pro with smaller tires. It's going to cost more (my 2023 V3 cost $2100 CDN on a flash sale), but compare that to the industry, not the previous Phantom. They have almost nothing in common, tbh. All the R&D that went into the Pro is being used in the Phantom now, which is awesome. To avoid using the overused industry word "cannibalizing", they can't have Pro buyers opting for Phantoms - so I expect the Pro to have a boost in a few things to make it appeal to the performance crowd. Like, offroad/aggressive riding models vs urban models.

Although impressive I was hoping 2.0 would be an evolution of the original Phantom in terms of outdoor adventure that came on the original with it's quad suspension, aggressive handlebar & ruggered looks in design aesthetics. This to me looks like a hybrid GO / Pro model, almost as though they got to together for one night of 'special cuddles' Don't get me wrong I am sure it'll turn heads and be a roaring success but for me personally I would not buy 2.0 over the Pro as it is way to similar in terms of look and design. Personally I would only use this new Phantom purely for street / road thrills, it's a great alternative to the Nami Klima that's for sure particularly the Stellar which is a perfect competitor to their Blast without being a beast. Yet for exploring off street trails &/or outdoor forest exploring and adventure it's missed the mark (For me that is) I dont know how others will feel. I'd prefer a dedicated scooter to match outdoor terrain (think of a beastly pick up truck but scaled down a little) with an aggressive design. It's a pity Apollo doesn't 'EXPLORE' this avenue to give other adventure scooters (Wolf King GT / Warrier / VSett, etc) direct competiton to entice their riders BUT I do understand that Apollo are travelling down a different path for commuters. Unless you have something else in mind and held close to your chest right now later to be revealed to cater for the outdoor adventurer / enthusiast? Maybe the new 'Explore' will be that after the project was put on hold 🤔 yet a completely new design without the side fold down side standing left / right for deck? I'll watch this space very closely and hope for the outdoor scooter of my dreams

There have been some complaints about the handlebar turn signals with breaking in a fall. Mine have been perfect with 3000 km on my Beta Pro. What I definitely DO NOT LIKE about the new indicator in your presentation is the new design.With the signals visible only front and rear. Probably more fall resistant. However, ENORMOUSLY less visible to those beside and in the blind spot of the scooter. PLEASE go to a 180' visible version ! For SAFETY SAKE !

Safety and turn signals... really? Calm down... it does not matter... as long as you are seen, the rest is cosmetic. In a practical world, turn signal in scooters are useless. Same as in a bicycle. You are not going fast enough, fighting with cars...
@NunchucksHabit
@NunchucksHabit 17 күн бұрын
@@unloveableandre Nah, I'm using mine all the time. It matters that traffic can see you. We usually match vehicles for speed more than bicycles or pedestrians, and just like bicycles, we find ourselves in turn lanes, at intersections, just like cars. I'm always as fast as a car until ~60km/h, and bike lanes are garbage where I am in Nova Scotia. I usually flow with traffic, off to the right when possible, but at intersections/stop signs, I'm in the left lane like a motorcycle. To have better signal lights higher up would help immensely. It is about safety, but it's also about not making drivers angry. We can't take our hands off the handlebars to signal. I try to aim my scooter in the direction I'm going, but it's not enough. Even a multi-stage signal that could make it brighter the harder you press.

You have by far the best quality 👌🏼, it would be great if there was a much lighter version 🙏🏼 of the new Phantom 2.0 for the city with all the features and above all CABLELESS! 🤩 That would make the scooter so much more attractive if it was a bit more futuristic 🚀, like the ‘Bird Three’ model from Bird 🛴, or the ‘SO ONE PRO’ model from SO FLOW, or the unique model from ‘Unagi Model Eleven’, which unfortunately never came onto the market, where you can't see a single cable! Because the visible cables are absolutely out of date and aesthetically pleasing. 👎🏼 I also think that the orange colour on the scooter is not exactly beautiful and modern 🙈 and could be omitted or at least there could be the option to choose from other colours such as black or silver. 👍🏼 And if there was also a European version 🇪🇺 limited to 25 km/h, then it would be perfect so that you could also ride it in the big cities like Vienna, Rome or Barcelona and, above all, that the scooter is more portable and only weighs 15-17 kg at most, so that you can park and charge it in your home. The European market would be very pleased. 🤗 Thank you 💙

Having proper coil suspension in the rear is a plus, but it’s too bad they caved to all the foolish cries for disc brakes. I wish they continued with the Pro’s brake design and made the regen even stronger instead. This could be done by using high power cells like Molicel P45B or similar, using a mix of regen and reverse power at lower speeds, and controllers built to handle it. In theory you could even eliminate the drum brakes and go 100% electric braking if you had redundant controllers for safety. Maybe the Pro 2 will continue in this direction.

Regarding the tires on the Stellar version. 'Sleek Straight Tires'. Does that mean 'Slicks' with no tread indentations? If so, I'm not happy about that. I want to be confident on light off road and wet conditions. Not simply straight inline performance.

Well considering I just bought a Phantom v4 and its literally obsolete with less than 200 km ... this video just highlights that Apollo has no problem using its customers as test subjects well they "perfect" their scooter.. so literally a few months after I get it, its a $1600 bill to "upgrade" now I'm stuck with a "weird" unsafe split rim scooter that's just waiting to explode by a simple nail. I don't appreciate been used as a guineapig for their R&D team. Ill put that $ towards a company that cares about their customers

@@tanx2u I ride the Apollo city pro, I live close to Silverton hotel and travel down to Henderson to work on it. You have to get pretty clever and know what routes to take. After a while the commute becomes second nature. The Apollo city is built very well and withstood me having to traverse through road construction sites that were really bad for a scooter and smacked into a pothole. Luckily this scooter took the beating like it was nothing. The top speed is 35 mph when going downhill. 33 to 34 mph average

What are we doing here, why would you stick mechanical disc brakes on a 52V Phantom designed to be sold in 2025??? Theirs scooters for under $1000 that come standard with Hydraulic Disc Brakes. Electronic regen brakes are superiour to disc brakes which are less effective in wet & moist conditions!!! Not to mention the calipers pick up sticky oily,dusty substances during riding.Needs monthly degreasing.😊.In highest setting the regen brakes can throw you forward if not over the handlebar!

The brand practices in shady bussnes startigies which are borderline illegal, they will always say there’s a sale on but the sale is never off and they use a timer to create urgency so the customers are more likely to buy there scooter or product fast also there scooters are super slow terrible exploration also they always brake and they never honour the warranty. And there customer service is very poor.
@eloipecquet
@eloipecquet 18 күн бұрын
@@manchidogcollectables2784 Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I want to clarify a few things. Apollo does not engage in shady business practices. The sales and promotions are genuine, and while they may be frequent, they are not fake. As for performance, Apollo scooters are far from slow. For instance, the Apollo Go is the fastest 36V scooter on the market, and the model in this video reaches speeds of up to 85 km/h-definitely not slow. Regarding the warranty, Apollo has some of the highest Google ratings among scooter brands in North America, Google reviews are genuine and provide a true representation .
