Keynote by Mary Kaldor at the international conference

On 8 & 9 May, the Flemish Peace Institute, together with Tampere Peace Research Institute, Post-Conflict Research Center Sarajevo, Peace Research Center Prague and Peace Research Institute Oslo held the conference "Reimagining Peace 2023" at the Flemish Parliament in Brussels. On Monday 8 May, prof. Mary Kaldor, who is Professor Emeritus of Global Governance and Director of the Conflict Research Programme at The London School of Economics and Political Science held the keynote speech and tried to answer the following questions;
Has the war in Ukraine changed the way we look at war and peace? Do we need to rethink our security structure, our military investments and maybe even NATO's mission? And what are the implications for peace research? In this keynote speech, prof. Kaldor offers guidance for our thinking in times of conflict.
