Got to see the Chili Peppers live a few years ago, when they came back out for the encore Flea did a handstand and walked across the stage on his hands. I love how they've always had the same youthful energy.

Happy belated birthday! Hell yeah, Chili Peppers are my second favorite band ever, and BSSM is maybe their best album. John’s guitar tone was immaculate. This was badass too, that ending section was so unexpected. Kinda wish it was longer! Speaking of my favorite bands, do you have any more Streetlight Manifesto queued up? The Hands that Thieve, or With Any Sort of Certainty, or If Only For Memories....really, you can’t go wrong with their music, and you seemed to really love the one song you did.

Flea has such a distinctive bass style, you can always tell when he is guesting on other peoples albums. I love some of the RHCP albums but I am like you and just don't like some albums. the verbal gymnastic from Anthony are still impressive, all underpinned by a solid Guitar and Drums driving through it. But man Flea is just something else

Best RHCP album by far thanks to John's maturation (and pre-addiction left-hand strength) and ESPECIALLY Rick Rubin's production. There's a doc somewhere on here about the making of the album, Rubin trying to teach Flea some restraint, and John and Flea's musical mind meld. Will never forgive Kiedis and his ego for helping to end Mr. Bungle, and then turning into a tone-deaf Madonna in his later years, but this is definitely part of the soundtrack of my high school life. So many great songs that most people have never even heard of (e.g., If You Have to Ask, My Lovely Man, etc.).

I realise there are a huge amount of RHCP fans commenting on this video and Anthony doesn't sound to bad , but really these days unless you are a massive fan , you hear that he has really lost what vocal range he used to have. I travel the world on the festival curicit as a live sound engineer and I am surprised that he Anthony doesn't use more "assistance" on his voice . Years of drug abuse do effect your voice . Now before you call bullshit on me go back to festivals or concerts 5 years ago or so B4 covid and you will see what I mean. It not just him though listen to early 2000s marylin manson, when I was mixing them it was incredible now its a shit show. To best honest the best vocalist for just sheer predictable quality that makes your work easy is Mike patton , but only in the faith no more line up! I had a hell of a time trying to mix mr bungle live ! Don't get me wrong i am not shiting on Anthony but his voice in studio with pro tools and rest, not nightly performance is nothing like his 6 or 7 shows into a tour voice
