Emppu, the guitarist, typically wanders all over the stage, both offering encouragement to the other members, as you saw, and playing practical jokes. During one piece at this same concert, he walked by and turned off Floor's in-ears. Of course she recovered quickly but it was a cute moment. Floor has been known to respond in kind. You noticed that Emppu drinks Corona. Floor has dumped his bottle and replaced it with apple juice, which he despises. Quite the surprise on stage! The bottom line is, these people love one another. It's heartwarming to watch them over time.

Hello [Key of] Geebz ! Nightwish fans here, your reaction just appeared on our radar.. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing in 2013 at Wacken Open Air festival, in front of a 82k+ audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra, London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. You have a good ear. As I could see, you appreciate all the key elements of a Nightwish show: the intricate classical-structured "cinematic score" composition, the high "purple level" :) musicianship of all band members, but most of all - the stellar vocals, versatility and charisma of Floor Jansen, our Dutch metal queen. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " Hope you'll continue this journey with us, so I'll drop here a list of songs with the current lineup of the band you may like (please consider this list of links only as "a tip of the iceberg", an indication that they have a vast and very diverse repertoire, and not as something mandatory): "Romanticide" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKvCaIJ5eLafjtU "Storytime" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqfOiqqFf7-ChLc "Ever Dream" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4nMZaFuma-WfJo "Song Of Myself" live at Wacken 2013 (dark/metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooLYZoSgnsl7jck "Dead Boy's Poem" - live Buenos Aires 2018 (soulful ballad) kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWmoZH9tnMx_g68 "Ghost River" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmbImqeaYqp0bKs "Dark Chest Of Wonders" live at Wacken 2013 (metal, the greatest show opener ever) kzbin.info/www/bejne/haeydWmumsijnpY "My Walden" live at Wembley 2015 (celtic / folk) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZ_UlnxuZZyNors "Sleeping Sun" live at Tampere 2015 (ballad) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKTSpZ-wp56qhNk "Stargazer" live at Tampere 2015 (operatic vocals / metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJmopnSGjtKSi8k "Slaying The Dreamer" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXKXZaeglrVopJI "I Want My Tears Back" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (celtic / folk vibe) kzbin.info/www/bejne/inOylZqun8djoa8 "Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean" live In Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmOZo5Ksdr6EZrM "Weak Fantasy" live at Tampere 2015 (dark metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3-VZGyGl9aVoNE "7 Days To The Wolves" live at Wembley 2015 (dark metal) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqfWl6p3hceKjsU And if you want to hear Floor growling :) then try "Yours Is An Empty Hope" live at Mexico City in 2015 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqbaimSaYrB8qdU Last but not the least - they just released their 9th studio album on April 10th named "Human :||: Nature" - just take a peek to their official playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLihZ3gi5Yvzc0pfH2cbNKUUX8o3pb8eVg (for example: "Shoemaker", the 3rd track from this album, tells the story of Eugene Shoemaker, one of the founders of planetary science, whose ash was sent on the Moon after his death, as a tribute from the scientific community ..) You have an incredible, diverse journey ahead of you with Nightwish, and the Army will be with you. Look forward to the next! Thank you. This whole concert was amazing, my favs are Romanticide, Song of Myself, Storytime and Everdream. Two songs that you must also check out that are their longest are Poet and the Pendulum (Wembly Arena Concert) and The Greatest Show on Earth, the Tempere concert version. By the by, Tuomas is the keyboardist and the composer. Do your research ahead of time on Poet especially, it was a "band breakup" song of sorts, and it is a huge emotional journey put into song from the members processing the departure of the bands original singer. Great Show on Earth is music put to the evolution of the universe. Their newer stuff is incredible too and a totally different flavour. Shoemaker is a song honouring scientists and in particular, Eugene Shoemaker, a NASA scientist. There are so many more. Enjoy!

For a Story: Emppu(Guitar) likes to turn off Floor's(vocalist) in ear during certain pieces. She has responded at various points by switching out his beers with apple juice, which he has spit out near equipment so they had to tone it back since there is a ton of equipment on stage. During "I Want my Tears Back" Wacken 2013 you can see Emppu tell Troy (multi-instrumentalist and vocals, not on stage for Ghost Love score) that he is going to turn off Floor's monitor at about 3:45. Emmpu then turns off her monitor at ~3:58, 4:02 she reaches back to turn it on, 4:04 Troy shakes his head cause he really did it. At 4:28 she does a spin as Emppu passes behind her again to keep an eye on him. In front of a crowd of 82,000, they are still messing around. As another note to the character of the band, the DVD for the Wacken 2013 show has the names of the German tour bus drivers in the credits. Not just them, but the full crew and a lot more people than are normally mentioned by bands in their credits.

Nightwish is a Finnish band and here are the members currently: - Tuomas Holopainen - Keyboards & main composer/arranger - Finnish - Floor Jansen - Main Vocals - Dutch - Marco Hietala - Bass & Vocals - Finnish - Emppu Vuorinen - Guitarist - Finnish - Kai Hahto - Drums - Finnish (In the video you just watched it was still Jukka Nevalainen, he left as the drummer in 2014 and is now with the band's management team) - Troy Donockley - Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, vocals, guitar, keyboards, bouzouki, etc. - English The backing tracks are recorded with the London Philarmonic full orchestra and choir. They had 2 previous singers Tarja Turunen 1996-2005 and Anette Olzon 2007-2012. Best method for reacting to Nightwish that I figured from watching reactors and discovering them recently and exploring their catalog myself: Keep the particularly long and complex songs listed below, if you have not watched them already, for after you have seen all the more standard ones from the 4 live shows mentioned in the numbered list: - Ghost Love Score (Wacken) 10 minutes - The Poet and the Pendulum (Wembley) 14 minutes >>> Doing some research on the background story for this song is very important to be able to appreciate the meaning of the lyrics. - Greatest Show on Earth (Tampere) 21 minutes 1- Just do all the Wacken 2013 songs, they are all great. 2- Then the Wembley 2015 ones that are not part of the Wacken show. 3- Then the remaining songs from Tampere 2015 that were not in the previous 2 shows mentioned. 4- Then the older songs from Buenos Aires 2018 that were not in the previous 3 shows mentioned. 5- To see what they can do with a cover and if you like Marco's singing, watch their interpretation of Pink Floyd's High Hopes. 6- Then you can explore Floor's versatility with her band ReVamp's live performances of the songs Disdain at Graspop and Wild Card at Bloodstock. 7- And finally go in the deep end of the Floor talent pool by reacting to her performances on Beste Zangers in the order the episodes aired. For the first 4 steps, you can alternate between shows, but I would recommend to still only take songs that are not performed in the previous shows mentioned, as they are ordered in audio quality from best to worst. From watching a lot of reactions, in my opinion this is the most efficient order to discover the rabbit hole that is Nightwish and Floor Jansen. That should keep you busy for a while. 😀

The songwriter and composer Tuomas Holopainen would be totally in his element composing movie music. In fact, Nightwish's most recent album "Human. :II: Nature.", is a double-cd release, where the second CD is essentially a 30 minute classical piece, called "All The Works of Nature Which Adorn The World". It's utterly gorgeous. A fan made a video for it that Tuomas himself loved - it is as beautiful as the piece it's made for. You can find it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJ-ylYRrjLONgM0

I would call it a NeoRomantic ( not in the 80's sense, but in the orchestral composers' semse. Yes I know you know this Abba but the comment is for the less informed) piece, but whatever the genre, it is truely inspiring music.

I'm also a student of orchestration and really love that element of Nightwish's music and Tuomas's genius. Really glad to hear your appreciation for the interlude that a lot of people just want to get through. It's the rare rock or metal concert where you get to hear a bass clarinet! Nightwish is one of the rare bands (for me) where the live performances are often better than the studio recordings: except in regard to really hearing the orchestral elements. The studio versions allow one to hear the entirety of Tuomas's thoughts, and in conjunction with the unsurpassed energy of the live shows (I've had the good fortune to attend 3 Nightwish concerts) allow for the total experience. Given your own field, I think you would really get a lot out of the newest album 'Human :II: Nature.' Not only great music, but the orchestral elements and compositional genius blow me away. You will also really love The Greatest Show on Earth for similar reasons. Another one that I would say to listen to the studio recording after hearing the live (Tampere concert is the best) performance. I'm very much looking forward to following your journey with this spectacular band!

Tuomas, the keyboardist and main composer for Nightwish is a big fan of movie soundtracks. His favorite composer is Hans Zimmer. He would love to be involved in writing movie score in the future. Nightwish is playing to a Pro Tools click track which also includes a full backing track from the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Metro Voices Choir. When they play indoor gigs you are able to better hear the details of the backing tracks. There is so much more to hear from this amazing symphonic metal band my friend. I too have written some songs in my day, but Tuomas is a master at using cinematic soundtrack techniques in his metal songs. Nightwish does some very heavy music, but they also do many softer songs with interesting musical compositions. Tuomas loves to use key changes as well as time signature changes, along with extreme dynamics to add dramatic impact to his music. He is also a wonderful poet, which he incorporates into his music as well. He loves poetry from some of the masters, such as Whitman, Thoreau, and Byron. We lovingly like to refer to him as The Metal Mozart. I loved your reaction and have the utmost respect for you and others of your profession. It is such a momentous achievement to be able to obtain so much musical knowledge. Understanding all of the color of the different instruments and how to weave that magic tapestry together as a whole. It must be such a thrill to hear you compositions played live/or recorded for the first time by a full orchestra and/or other musical textures including electric instrumentation, vocalists, and possibly choirs. I loved your analysis and commentary of this reaction video. I look forward to additional reactions to my favorite band. Just subbed for the ride. Hope you cold improves and enjoy the ocean. Because there will undoubtedly be more requests from that show: Make sure to use either the official live version (for single tracks) or the "correct speed" version here on youtube. When I first heard from Nightwish, it was the year 2004. They came around with a single called "Nemo". It took me instantly into the world of Symphonic Metal. I fell in love with this huge combination of hard rock, symphonic parts and an opera singer. I had no idea that Nightwish were active for years at this moment. I never heard from them before. But I was sure I MUST have the album. So, I went to buy the album when it came out. What an album! "Once" is its name. But I had no idea what was on it. Yeah, "Nemo", of course. The follow-up single "Wish I had an angel", of course. But also "Ghost Love Score". This chorus! So fat, so complete, so over everything that I have ever heard. And I was sure, nobody can sing it better than Tarja Turunen. But sadly she left the band. I have no memory of her successor, Anette Olzon. But, man, then came Floor Jansen. Well, I didn't know much, but I knew she was a great singer. But could she stand "Ghost Love Score" since this is their masterpiece? Well, she sang everybody and everything to the ground. What a singer! Can you imagine that she is also able to do death growls? Like somebody commented here: Tuomas: "What vocal range?" Floor: "Yes" "Ghost Love Score" is such a great song. There is no better rock song in my opinion. And now I can say, nobodycan sing this song better than Floor.

I love Nightwish because they combine the beauty of soundtrack and orchestral music with the energy of metal. Unbeatable combo, really. Glad to hear you liked it! Since you seem to be into the more orchestral parts in this song, might I nudge you towards the second part of Nightwish' newest album? Human Nature is a two-part album, the first (Human) is regular songs, while the second (Nature) is an orchestral piece dedicated to, well, nature. It's like 30 minutes long though, so you don't need to do a reaction or breakdown, just listen to it for your relaxation. Their album Imaginaerum also has an orchestral piece named after the album. Then there are songs like "Taikatalvi" and "Kuolema tekee taiteilijan", which don't have band instruments. You can't really go wrong no matter what you choose to listen to next. Nightwish doesn't really have bad songs, just ones that I love a little less than others, haha.

WELCOME TO THE PHENOMENON THAT IS THE GENRE OF SYMPHONIC METAL AND WELCOME TO THE NIGHTWISH ARMY. This was the Wacken Open Air Festival Concert back in 2013, and there were over 82,000 people at this concert. the current singer is from the Netherlands, and a majority of the band members are from Finland, although the woodwinds player is from England. THE BAND IS NOT NEW. They released their first album in 1996. SO WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC ACTUALLY IS NIGHTWISH???? Nightwish is actually one of the groups credited with the CREATION of the Metal Sub-genre of Symphonic Metal (according to Wikipedia!). Symphonic Metal in general only borrows the hard driving double kick drums, and the hard grungy style guitars and bass from Metal. However, in SYMPHONIC METAL the guitar is not the primary focal point, it is in fact the keyboards and their movie-scorish sounding orchestral sound. The keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen (first name pronounced as Too-oh-mas) is the composer of all of the music arrangements and is the leader of the group. He is a personal huge lover of movie scores, which is where a lot of the movie-scorish style sound of the keyboards comes from (which is the primary focal point of ALL of Nightwish’s music instrumentally). In Symphonic Metal 90-95% of all Symphonic Metal bands are all female fronted. Currently only Kamelot, Serenity, and a hand full of other Symphonic Metal bands even have male singers, and they are normally referred to as Symphonic Power Metal. The female fronted bands are the ones usually referred to over in Europe as ‘Symphonic Metal’. The most popular being Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica, and Delain. When Symphonic Metal first started the female singers ALL used an operatic style of singing, but as the Genre has evolved over the last 20+ years in the UK since Nightwish came long when they released their FIRST album back in 1996, they have adopted more of a contemporary style of singing like Floor uses currently. Floor Jansen is the 3rd and current Lead Singer since Nightwish released its first album in 1996, and she is from the Netherlands. Keep in mind when Floor did this concert (Wacken Open Air in 2013), she had not been with Nightwish for very long, she was actually a FILL-IN for this particular tour. Nightwish was in the middle of the Imaginearum World Tour when they parted ways with their SECOND Lead Singer Anette Olzen (from Sweden), and Tuomas (pronounced as Too-oh-mas) called Floor and asked her if she could learn their entire set list in 48 hours and then fill-in for them for the rest of the tour. Within the next few short months, the band posted their first Official Live Performance video since they fired their first lead singer Tarja Turunen at the end of November 2005. During Anette's entire tenure with the band, Nightwish did not post ONE single solitary live performance video on their official KZbin channel. Hmmm? Curious? At the end of this Imaginearum World Tour (just a few months later!), (As Floor tells the story in an interview) the Band pulled both Floor Jansen and Troy Donokley aside and asked them to be official members of the band. Floor said both her and Troy both had tears in their eyes. Troy had been a guest musician with the band on such official videos like The Islander, but never an official member of the band. The rest as they say ... is history. CURRENT BAND MEMBERS • Tuomas Holopainen - keyboards, piano, is the primary musical composer for all arrangements Is also who formed the band, and is the leader of the group. • Emppu Vuorinen - All guitars (been with the band since its inception) - (His name is pronounced Ehm-poo) • Marko Hietala - bass, male vocals, acoustic guitar (is Nightwish Second Bass player, and has been with them since 2001.) • Troy Donockley - uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low whistle, guitars, bouzouki, bodhrán, backing vocals • Floor Jansen - lead vocals (Floor is Nightwish current and THIRD Lead Singer) • Kai Hahto - drums (NOT APART OF THE BAND YET WHEN THIS CONCERT WAS FILMED - Kai was hand picked by the groups original drummer Jukka Nevalainen to replace him when he had to stepped down for medical reasons listed below. Kai is a personal friend of Jukka’s, as well as was Jukka's drum teacher) FORMER BAND MEMBERS SEEN IN THIS CONCERT AT THE WACKEN OPEN AIR FESTIVAL FROM THE YEAR 2013: • Jukka Nevalainen - drums ( original drummer from 1997-2014 and is who you see playing drums in this concert at the Wacken Open Air Festioval Show from 2013. He had to step down for severe medial reasons, and handpicked his replacement. Jukka nearly died from a period of 2 straight years of severe insomnia, and had to be hospitalized because of it. Even though he stepped down as drummer, according to Toumas, he is the CEO of the Nightwish Corporation now. So he is still very much a part of Nightwish.) Other Former Band Members NOT seen in this video: • Sami Vänskä - bass (1998-2001) • Tarja Turunen - vocals (Nightwish FIRST Singer for the first 10 years of Nightwish existence from 1996-2005) • Anette Olzon - vocals (Nightwish SECOND singer, from Sweden, from 2007-2012) The songs that I recommend you listen to from this list are ALL from the Wembley Arena LIVE Show which is from the Vehicle of Spirit DVD/Blu-ray in 2016: 1. Poet And The Pendulum - This is one of the corner stone songs for this band. I would RESEARCH THIS SONG BEFORE REACTING TO IT. I would also not do this one right away, I would build up to this and get a few Nightwish songs under your belt before doing it. As stated above Floor Jansen is their THIRD Singer. Their first singer sang entirely in the operatic syle and was named Tarja Terunen. She was Nightwish Singer for TEN YEARS. Her last concert was THE END OF AN ERA concert filmed the end of November of 2005. Immediately after the conclusion of the END OF AN ERA concert Tarja received a letter called "The Open Letter" from the band telling her they were parting ways with her. Poet And the Pendulum is about the emotional heart wrenching experience of events that lead up to that decision, and the backlash from fans after ward. SO this song is extremely INTENSELY emotional. Doing your reseach into this before hand will help you understand why the song is so emotional and why it was written in 5 acts like it was. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3bdi4WDqc2bjrc 2. Greatest Show On Earth - I would RESEARCH THIS SONG BEFORE REACTING TO IT. I would also not do this one right away, I would build up to this and get a few Nightwish songs under your belt before doing it. This song is about the creation of the universe, the big bang, and evolution. Be ready because this is a 20 min thrill ride that only feels like 3 or 4 minutes long. This one in particular will show off both her dynamic range and ability to change styles in a song, like Ghost Love Score. I think you might want to look for the Tampere Finland Show because it has FIREWORKS coordinated with the music. Also, I think its a good idea to look for the Tampere Finland show with lyrics, so you can follow along with the lyrics, as there is a lot to take in for this one. Look for the one with Lyrics and Fireworks both. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJ2ZnYicfrKefa8 3. Ever Dream - my absolute all-time favorite Nightwish song. The most high energy song they’ve ever done in my opinion. I think Wembley Arena show is the best one. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4nMZaFuma-WfJo 4. Romanticide - Be prepared because this is one of their heavier songs, and Floor and Marko both do some singing in this, and this one is an amazing thrill ride of a song. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKvCaIJ5eLafjtU 5. Elan - (this is an extremely up beat high energy song that just leaves you feeling good). Again Wembley Arena is a great one to react to. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpTao6qIgLWUe8k 6. Alpenglow - (this is JUST a feel good song. And again, this was such a fun song in the Wembley Arena Show). Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKOtp36Qg6qbbck 7. Nemo (Nemo is from a Latin word which means no one or nobody. It is about a time in Toumas life when he felt his direction in life was aimless, and without real direction. It’s an awesome song and a HUGE favorite of long time fans. This song was originally written during the Tarja Era). Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moOUmHtrlraKeLc 8. Stargazers (this one is an OLD Tarja Era song, and is sung almost entirely in an Operatic style, so if you wanna hear Floor sing Opera in a Metal song, this is the one to listen to. I would do this from the DECADES TOUR). Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJmopnSGjtKSi8k 9. Yours Is An Empty Hope (Maybe do this one from the Tampere Finland Show. Be prepared because behind Marcos vocals on the chorus, is Floor growling. You read it correctly, yes she really CAN do everything!!). Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqW7ooiEd52tqLc 10. 10th Man Down (this is from the Tarja Era, but Floor nails it perfectly.) Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqmUin1mesmBd6s 11. Last Ride Of The Day - I would do this from the Wembley Arena Show . This song was the second to the last song for the Wembley Arena Show from the Vehicle Of Spirit Blu-ray/DVD. It is simply one kick ass song. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZXJmX2joL-FmLc 12. 7 Days To The Wolves - This is another kick ass song, and I would do this from the Wembley Arena Show. Here is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqfWl6p3hceKjsU

Hey Geebz, you have just experienced the most reacted to song in YT reaction history! this amazing seminal performance at Wacken 2013 cemented the phenomenal Floor Jansen's position as their 3rd,current & final singer, every song is GOLD, stay with Live performances they are rare & actually better that way, welcome to an experience you have just a small taste of. cheers

You comment about it being cinematic is spot on. The keyboard player is their composer and in an interview he mentions his liking of film scores as what he calls contemporary classical music. Great stuff!

You'll notice they have a backing track of the London Philharmonic Orchestra with a choir also. Tuomas also wrote the music and lyrics for the backing track. He's a musical genius. I don't think they have a bad song. Their concert at Wacken in 2013 was the best recorded concert IMHO.

‘The best for the last, just one note!’ Yeah and that one note has stolen thousands of hearts and made thousands more lose their minds Welcome to this rabbit hole I am watching on phone so i dont really have the desire to look up what you have watched, but here is an idea ‘epica - sancta terra, live at retrospect. Feat. Floor Jansen’ (floor is the singer you saw here) That band used a full harmonic ensamble and choir during that concert and it had many awesome songs to choose from (and also many more that werent on that concert) Though i choose that one cus the nightwish army seems to like it so... :)

How exciting that you are a composer !!! We are used to vocal coaches and musicians and even roadies, but I am so happy to hear your thoughts as a composer !!! I'm happy to see that Gabriel and the rest of the NIGHTWISH Army are on board already ! I can't wait to see what you think about the tons of amazing songs that Nightwish offers ! As someone who loves the more instrumental side, I hope you'll eventually get around to listening to the B side of Nightwish's newest album, Human :||: Nature. It's almost entirely instrumental. You can find the whole album here on youtube.

Thank you for the reaction 😊 Nightwish does use backing tracks for a lot of instruments and backing vocals, since the keyboardist and composer Tuomas, who is the brain behind the band, feels that fans deserve the whole experience that happens on album as well. A lot of the songs from Nightwish were recorded with the full London Philharmonic Orchestra (since Once -album), so there's a lot happening and Tuomas as you said, only has two hands. I suggest, if you are open to suggestions, to take a listen to Nightwish - Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley. It is my favourite song and I think you will love it as well.

Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰 checking in. I can see the others have filled you in quite a lot already. I also agree on it is to early to some of the real epic masterpieces - like the greatest show on earth, which have around 600 soundtracks..... You have to be given Tuomas's compositions in smaller portions - to really understand the reason why Tuomas is considered to be the Metal Mozart. Notice how tight the band are, nothing overdone and this is live!! And as you noticed, Floor is the singer of the this century - and you have only scratched the surface, believe me! Welcome to the world of the Nightwish Universe 🤘🤘👍

Floor is the sheer embodiment of feminine power, skill and beauty. I love how she flips between child like playfulness, angelic softness, perfect operatic staccato arpeggios as well as roaring power growling. Her arrival in the band must have felt like a match made in heaven. Especially with the very family like atmosphere already developed within the band. This is what Emppu (the guitarist) was expressing by gently touching the bassist and keyboard player as he was passing them onstage.

This completes my List of most interresting reactors. We've got the point of view from an instrument player, a voice coach, a roadie to explain the stage production (think people know who i'm referring to) and now the vies from a composer. Great. Thank you! Please more of the insight views. Immediately Subscribed :)
