So I know I’m at a late response here. But you really need to do a track or two off of Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” album such as jigsaws falling into place, or weird fishes/arpeggi. Or even the track titled “Nude” very good album dude. Is right up your alley

So glad you reviewed this Dillinger Escape Plan song. That EP they did with Mike Patton is my favorite stuff of theirs. That controlled chaos sound that Dillinger has mixes with Patton's vocal style really well and vice versa. I was taking a music theory class from a classical/jazz pianist, who had perfect pitch btw. One day he dared us to bring in any cd of our choice and play any track. He wanted to show us that all songs produced on a reputable label would follow the “Sonata Allegra” format. So I introduced him to Mike Patton and dared him to pick the track. We ended up listening to about 5 songs during class. Some were S.A. Some weren’t. But He did ask if he could borrow all three albums and the next day he was in love this impossible new music. Here's a format suggestion: You play the Fantomas album "Suspended Animation" front to back without stopping. You are not allowed to use words in your reaction. Only hand gestures, props and onomatopoeia. I suggest having a toy ray gun, a Loteria (Mexican bingo) deck, a rubber chicken and a bouquet of fake flowers on hand. If you feel the need to use English you may pick a puppet that is appropriate to the reaction and respond through it in character. Any time you deviate from the rules, you must drink a large swallow of coffee.

Very cool Geebz. You picked a nice journey there. Many more to come with MP. Mondo Cane, Fantomas, his songs with Sepultura, Lovage, Le Chanson de Jacky with Secret Chiefs 3, a song with The Tango Saloon, a great tune with the late Mark Lanegan, a song with Alain Johannes, a song with Bjork, Team Sleep, Dead Cross, Corpse Flower, as well as his work with John Zorn, and that’s just the beginning! What a rabbit hole!

I'm not even a hip-hop or pop fan but its got enough of the oldschool stuff to give me nostalgia. Then of course Patton is doing amazing like usual. Id also suggest the Tomahawk album Anonymous, it certainly has its own consistent theme too.

@@bifferoni14 oh that's unfortunate. Geebz is great but reaction guys should realize there always should be a "Wow Factor" Ex. 1) it's your favorite band and watching someone discover them is awesome. 2) the video is so visually "over the top", it makes for an eventful reaction. 3) Metalheads reacting to rap Rappers reacting to metal Older composers outside their comfort zone etc. We've seen quite a bit of the latter category here is all I'm sayin. I'd love to hear your take on Maximum The Hormone, specifically Yoshu Fukushu. They're totally unrelated but carry some of the frenzied unpredictability I enjoy in Patton's work, hopping gleefully from one subgenre to another. You're right about the Zappa thing, btw. Patton's genius is that same ramshackle bombardment of complex theatricality combined with oddball humour. Right on.
