Here’s another one for you. In Kh2, you can use the Peter Pan summoning and do an unlimited combo until the summoning gauge runs out. You can use it on a lot of the bosses in the game 😂

That is funny that you pointed out the dragon malficent cheese... I found that on accident on my first run through of the boss... I didn't have the items needed so I sat up there for almost 2 hours letting goofy and Donald auto revive and just blocking dark fire till I saw her health bar hit zero and glided in for the last hit.... I was 10 at that time

Alternatively you can just spam Gravity and Stop on Maleficent and loop it enough times where one combo does the job.

So the maleficent strat is actually my go to when I'm running a proud playthrough with no grinding. Hollowbastion is when no grinding starts to really catch up to you

By no grinding I mean skipping all optional fights and worlds. Not a level 1 run, since Donald and goofy die so fast at lv 1 this strategy would take hours

personally i prefer Stop spam, if you don't have the MP for that tho, Tinker Bell is the MVP if you're not quite willing to do that, and its the only one that doesn't take away your party members, so you could actually combine the strats...if you wanted to i guess.

That Dragon Maleficent strat is the same one I used. Sat myself in a corner where I was confident I wouldn't be hit, left the game running with the volume down and went to bed. Donald and Goofy spent the next eight hours battling furiously and valiantly to bring her down to 1 HP, after which I woke up and made my 1 HP's worth of contribution.

Little nitpick, but attacking Darkside on the head doesn't do any more damage than normal, it just gives you tech points. But doing so still is the faster method.

Actually it is MP Gift that makes Goofy restore MP to other characters, not Evolution. At 4:55 the description says it restores 30 HP to the party, not MP.

KH1 can be incredibly easy if you equip Goofy with all strength boosting items. By the time I got to dragon maleficent, Goofy was doing double the damage I was (although to be fair, that was my magic-based playthrough).

@@KeyofTime15 well. then i will talk about the quick run in data roxas. after using the reaction command to take his keyblades, using quick run (dodge roll doesnt work) will make 2 hits, dealing a bit of damage, staggering roxas but adding no points to the revenge value. with a good enough timing, you can destroy roxas with just 1 command

…. Couldn’t you summon tinkerbell for her regen effect? She doesn’t make the party go away, like the other summons in kh1. Help with healing Donald and goofy.

Try Strike Raid on KH1 Sephiroth one day. That skill has so many s, you can more or less do a hitless run of the dude, nothing will hit you and he'll die looking like an idiot (x

You can also trivialise Maleficent Dragon by boosting your MP as much as you can, bringing along as many Ethers/Elixirs as you can, and using Stop (or Stopra, if you have it). If your max MP/magic power is high enough, you can basically keep her Stopped forever and just juggle her. Another strategy is to get on her back and spam Strike Raid, using Ethers or Elixirs whenever you run out of MP. It's relatively easy to farm Elixirs and Last Elixirs from the Rare Truffles in Never Land, so you shouldn't really ever have a shortage in the first game. Tinker Bell + Aerora also makes her a lot easier. There's a really cool strategy for Unknown/Xemnas in the first game's Final Mix which essentially lets you keep him in an infinite loop. It's a bit tricky to get the hang of, but basically you cast Graviga on him (Gravity is the one spell type he's not immune to, and it also stuns him for a ridiculously long time if it lands), get in a 3-hit combo while trying to push him towards the middle of the area, jump slightly back while casting Graviga, then jump forward over his Spark Bomb and combo him again. He can break out of it with his Laser Shower attack or his Invitation to Nothingness attack (when he changes your menu options), but Laser Shower is pretty rare and can easily be avoided or heal-spammed through, and he won't use Invitation to Nothingness if you have a summon out, so you can just summon Genie and Bambi and let them do nothing while you keep the loop going. And in tradition of cheesing super hard Final Mix-exclusive secret bosses with infinite loops, Lingering Will in KH2 can also be looped to death. It's kinda well known by now, but you equip Fenrir and as many Combo Minus abilities as you can, basically making it so every attack Sora does is a finisher. Remove all combo finisher abilities from Sora (like Explosion, etc.). When the battle starts, avoid LW's first attack, then jump and hit him once. Then as soon as you land, do a short hop and hit him again. Repeat until dead. The timing on it is quite tight, and you need to keep the rhythm up for quite a while, but it's very handy if you can get it to work. Though personally I think people who cheese him this way are missing out on one of the most fun boss fights in the whole series...

become decent, find out what works during the fight and doesn't, try Limit abilities. equip Dodge Roll, Guard, and, if you have them, Leaf Bracer and Second Chance. keep an eye for his dash attack after he hops back, which you can either guard, or parry. barring that, try synthing some items back at Traverse Town. you can always also get a few levels if all else fails.

Every aspect of Lethal frame can be avoided. Super mobile mobs, stop resistance, or if the target is too high. But for the main bosses, there is very little hope.

With maleficent I just stood far back to the point the regular attacks wouldn’t hit me, then I summoned Bambi and spammed fire balls until she died, only thing you had to worry about was the fire balls.

it's not as safe but you can just run out of Dragon's range and use Simba. I figured it out after struggling on a Staff run recently. It won't kill her outright but if your magic is high enough and you have both Cheers you can take like 70% of her health off without risk by fully charging roars. After that Genie can get some extra free damage while just letting you constantly avoid attacks and from there she'll be on death's door if she's still up.

personally not a fan of the cheese listed here for Dragon Maleficent, as it takes forever if you're not overlevelled. Using Stop, followed by two air combos lets you just rekt her without fear of getting hit back. before i knew of this tho, i summoned Tinker Bell and flew to that same spot when i got low on HP
