I need to conduct an experiment using the thermocouple. First of all, i am measuring fruit core temperature inside a refrigerated transport container (but will be stationary). When setting up the thermocouple, what temperature type is suitable for this measurement? I am quite unsure if to use Temp (Type C or T). Where can i find information on this particularly? Secondly, my experiment will last for at least 10 days, so i intend to do it remotely using the USB data logging method. I will set it up to measure at 10mins interval, any advice on the required size of USB i may be needing? I am scared of losing data as this is my second and last research experiment. Thank you in anticipation.

Can I connnect via LAN using Benchlink Data Logger 3

What´s the diference betwen connect the equipment with USB cable or LAN cable, because of at first to connection with LAN the PC did not register it. Can you send to us more videos with examples to measurement termocuples, thanks

Francisco Lozano The LAN cable will work but you have to have wifi off. So, the laptop and 34972A are the only connections. If you connect your laptop and the 34970A to the same router then you can have both the internet and the DAQ.

Nitin ks. You may want to call our technical support center to discuss your application. The 34970A and 34972A can measure the RMS voltage from the sensor which would represent the total vibration. However, you may want to use an FFT analyzer to see vibration force by frequency. Many oscilloscopes have FFT capability but low resolution. Dedicated hardware / SW is available if you want more resolution and faster update rates.

Is it possible to turn off the sounds (relay?) when scanning?

Allison you are correct the scanning sound is from the relays and cannot be turned off. The 34902A is less noisy as it uses reed relays, in a lab environment the sound is not extremely loud. Another solution is to monitor the 34972A remotely.
