I use an ADC as my DAQ :P R-2R ladders connected to Arduino or Pi usually. Right now I'm making a thing to restore, charge, and load test a ton of bad 7AH lead acid batteries I got for free. Gonna use them for solar, I live off grid. But that DAQ looks awesome! I would love one on my bench (even though it would look a little out of place next to my scope that's older than I am). I'll try to save up my pennies xD

DAQ is a very usefull measuring instrument. I used it with Lab View to measure temperature. As an electroninc engineering student it is not possible for me to get one of these due to the price.

You make it look much easier man great ! Well explained

Hello Sir, I want to store the data in the form of a change in dc voltage at the rate of more than 50000 readings/sec. is it possible with DMM or DAQ and the voltage range is in mVolt?

I asked for a logic analyzer video series. If keysight can build a UXR1104A (great scope, I am using it) then a video series would not be hard

ElectroBOOM needs your help to do with KVL. There is a proffesor who thinks that KVL does not always hold up and he is discrediting Medghi practical tests and is making out that his fans are flat earthers and religious nuts. He failed to close the loop and it is a simple test you can do to dissaprove his theory. We are counting on you as learning electrical engineers. Please don't let us down i love your products and test equipment by the way. Stay humble.
@KeysightLabs6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I've actually e-mailed him a bit about it. The big thing is, if the only thing that's changing in your setup is your probe cable positioning, that's the most likely culprit.

@@KeysightLabs this is tge problem about applying physics theories to a practical engineering. Physics can overcomplicate most tests there is a fully valid reason why we simplify as it still yields the same results but in a quicker fashion. I am crossing my keys that i might win a keysight scope so i can run my own tests but i highly doubt anything will come of it as i have never won anything in a giveaway in my life. Oh yeah he tried making out it was ElectroBOOM's test equipment which is taking a big poop on your companies wonderful and amazing equipment. The prof said it was because he had access to MIT's calibrated equipment when the reality is all scopes work on the same principles so i can smell cow poop on his whole theory. Thabks for the awesome reply and yet again Stay Humble my friend.

Haha, I didn't see his response. We have our own calibration lab and make the equipment that they use in calibration labs, so I'm certain that's not the issue. It seems a little bit like smoke and mirrors to me, but the key is to simplify the tests as much as possible to eliminate variables. The probing setup appears to be the single biggest variable in that prof's setup.

but do DAQs measure DACs

Yo dog, you totally could measure a DAC with your DAQ.

With a DAQ I could finally set my oven to actual 375°, and broil my garlic bread just right xD. I'm pretty sure I saw people using a DAQ to prove ghosts exist on the history channel. You forgot to mention the DAQ's totally legit use for ghost detecting/busting.
@KeysightLabs5 жыл бұрын
Wow, that's a good point. How did I miss the obvious ghost busting capabilities!?

This looks like a tasty piece of kit. I love this make but alas back to the home made slow timebase and the old HP storage scope with lots of sum's . Still when teaching Apprentice's it shows how to be resourceful I guess I should get a quote :-/

Those poor relays, I hope nobody has a need to capture all the maximum data points multiplexing whole time like that :p What sort of sick application would require exporting to word? Also it seems like overkill for most of the applications you listed unless you add prototyping to all of these. P.S. I bet you can also program it as the most expensive alarm clock :p
@KeysightLabs6 жыл бұрын
You could make an awesome alarm clock - it would go off when your water for coffee/tea was ready for brewing :)
