Tabs: smarturl.it/toccatatabs Hey guys! I hope that you are all well and safe! This is one that I wanted to to do for a long time. To get this glorious guitar tone I use the TC Electronic Plethora X5 after my drive pedals. The Plethora X5 is a Multi-effects Pedal with 5 Simultaneous FX and many more cool features. For this tone I use 2 Octavers, Chorus (Very light), Reverb and Delay (Both in stereo). The result is only one guitar track that sounds like an orchestra. @marcospezenato19813 жыл бұрын
Com'on dude. Im a metal head and CANT AGREE WITH THAT. Bach's music is MILLIONS TIMES MORE COMPLEX than Metal. Bach would be a composer like he was... The complexity of his music cannot be expressed by a guitar-bass-drums band, using power chords riffs. NO WAY
@MH3GL3 жыл бұрын
@@marcospezenato1981 I'm confused.... What do those two things have anything to do with one another? A "metal head" (as you called yourself) is nothing more than a FAN of metal music. Are you telling me that because Bach was an extremely intricate composer, that he could not also enjoy the simpler compositions of a heavy metal band? That's sounds like a very harsh slight against Mr. Bach's musical comprehension capabilities.

The non-chordal sections where Kfir is tapping, is the best section of the 'Fugue' portion of Toccata & Fugue in D Minor I've ever heard. Though the guitar will never match the horsepower of an epically large organ for hammering both the Toccata, and the closing of the song - this just kills the organ for clarity. This piece on Kfir's guitar does a better job of showing the brilliance of the writing of Bach throughout the song - than any version I've heard - and I'm an expert.

It's difficult to say what Bach might have thought of this electrified version of an electrifying piece but I know that I thought it was spectacular and totally in keeping with the spirit if not the technology of Bachs original composition. Oddly, The Baroque pipe-organ and the electric guitar are the same thing, in a way, they both lend themselves to lofty, anthemic chords with the same overwhelming power and even the same kind of range coupled to a string and pipe arrangement that allows for similar chord progressions and tonal qualities (I only pretend to know the mechanics of music but in truth, I'm actually just a very appreciative listener.) and blah, blah, blah. Seriously, Mr. Ochaion, you got my heart-rate up and my ears rejoicing just like the organ version does and I'd love to see you do what you just did, live...I'd pay money for that. Bravo...tastefully and faithfully done.
