I was one of those lucky listeners. I can't believe I got to see her in this intimate setting and meet her afterward. Brandi is the absolute best and sweetest! Now, everyone knows how amazing she is when we all knew it long ago. And the band is equally stellar! I miss KFOG, though.

I love her amazing talent -- she sounds even better live than on studio recordings. She is one of the few talents who does not use digital/voice leveling to artificially bring her voice into pitch or add to the quality. She is a rare gem.

The Joke is a stunningly beautiful, powerful song. I saw Brandi open for the Indigo Girls way back in 1999 in Albuquerque. I've always been impressed with her voice. I told someone I was with at that show, "She sounds like Patsy Cline." Then she played a Patsy Cline song.
