Do you love Makguksu or mixed version is Bibim Makguksu? They're the famous traditional signature buckwheat noodles in Bongpyeong-myeon at Pyeongchang-gun of Gangwon-do. If you love it, let's follow me to make a "Ramyeon version" of buckwheat noodles with the product "Bibimmyeon" from Paldo Food.
Bongpyeong-myeon is known for its large buckwheat flower fields, and it is called by the name "the hometown of buckwheat in Korea". It's also a tourist attraction that comes to visit every year.
I think you won't find anywhere else with buckwheat noodles as delicious as Bongpyeong-myeon because the food will be prepared properly. Makguksu is usually served cold with vegetables, boiled eggs, roasted sesame, dried seaweed, and Gochujang in Dongchimi soup, or Kimchi radish soup (the version of mixed buckwheat noodles aka Bibim Makguksu that be eaten dry). Especially, a few chefs from Pyeongchang-gun will not use sugar but they will use pears instead to create sweetness. Korean people love to eat Makguksu in summer to throw out the sweltering heat.
When you enjoy Makguksu, you will feel the characteristic earthy taste of buckwheat, the spicy and sweet taste of noodles sauce, the cool taste of soup, and the crunchy taste of fresh vegetables.
I hope someday, I can go to Bongpyeong-myeon to eat the real Makguksu.

* My recipe in this video:
- Step 1: Take a little soaked seaweed and boil it in hot water for about 1 minute, then cut it into small pieces.
- Step 2: Take the noodles and boil it, then pour out the water and soak the noodles in ice water.
- Step 3: Pour the noodles sauce into the cup, then add a little mayonnaise, and stir well to combine.
- Step 4: Put the noodles in a bowl, then add a fried egg, some sliced cucumbers, chopped scallions, roasted sesame seeds, and chopped seaweed, then pour the sauce (in step 3) over the noodles
- Step 5: Mixed all ingredients well (you can add a little sesame oil drops to create the dish scent), and enjoy your Bibimmyeon.
