Previously, there was flexibility allowing admission to KFUPM with the option to submit a valid English test score (IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo) within the first semester of studies. This policy was applicable only for admissions up to the January 2025 session. Starting from the August 2025 semester, applicants for MS/Regular or Direct Ph.D. programs are required to submit a valid IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo score at the time of application. Without one of these scores, you cannot submit the application. Whether you are applying for an MS or a direct Ph.D., you will need one of the above scores.

However, try logging into the portal, going to the applications page, and clicking on the summary option. At the end, there will be a recommendations section. 3/4 is qualifying criteria, my son's cgpa was 3.54, now based on volume of applications they raised the cutoff to 3.8+ so out of selection, now no need of add ons like projects, internship experiences, or whatever, and we say we should not stress out the child with expectations of high scores 😔

As per the official website, a four-year Bachelor’s (B.S.) Degree is required if you want to apply for the master’s program at KFUPM. cgis.kfupm.edu.sa/admission_requirements.html However, you can still submit the application and hope for the best, though the likelihood of acceptance may be low.

The final selection criteria are only known to the interview committee. What I know is that your chances are high if you are asked to appear in an interview. If anyone is not selected even after appearing in the interview, it may be because their performance did not quite meet the required standards.

Non-Saudis residing in KSA can apply for Master's and PhD programs at KFUPM. However, fully funded scholarships are not provided. They receive basic scholarships and must also pay for accommodation and semester fees. This is what I know. If I get more information, I will update you.

1. Leave that section as of now. That medium of instruction paper is not accepted. You need to submit a valid IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo score if you get accepted, within the end of the first semester. 2. As far as I know, we have to enter the score that takes into consideration all the courses. So, in your case, it is the CGPA. As a first-year MS student, my knowledge of the exact selection procedure may be limited. However, based on what I have gathered so far, the university tends to look for a minimum of 75% in your bachelor's degree for Master's program applications (FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP). It is highly likely that they consider SOPs and CVs as crucial components of the selection process.

When I re-enter the portal there is a 'print' option of the form. I download the form from the 'print' option but my passport detais are nto shown in the pdf! The deadline for the August 2024 intake was December 17, 2023. After that, applicants receive a response from the university within 3 months. The university receives thousands of applications, so it's understood that it will take time. Also, when I applied in November 2022 for the August 2023 session, I got a response from the university in mid-February 2023, and it was an interview call. I was notified in late March 2023 about my acceptance. So, expect a response by the end of March or mid-April 2024 if you get accepted. Hope for the best.
