I have come across a theory suggested by someone... And it states as below, by the way which was exactly convincing !!! 1. There was probably a reason for introducing "Jimmy Carter" in the movie. He was the 39th president of USA, between 1977 and 1981. 2. It was shown in the movie that Jimmy Carter was way impressed by Rocky's response - "CEO of India" and there is a reason to believe that after becoming president of USA he may have supported Rocky's escape plan. 3. Movie tells us that US navy was very close to Rocky's Tanker ship and hence every reason to believe that Rocky will be saved by US navy and he will also recover his gold by swag. 4. Rocky himself sent the Fax to Indian navy. No reason to believe that he was 'dumb'. He was way too smart and always a step ahead in planning. Probably Indian navy was unknowingly supporting his plan. 5. In movie it's just shown that Rocky is drowning but never showed that he is dead. Almost no reason to assume he's dead, who's saying that Rocky is dead in part-2 and part-3 will only be about flashback. NO WAY. Movie will be a FLOP before release if public in the back of their mind has the thought that their SUPERSTAR is already dead. MAKERS WON'T make this mistake.

I was saying the same theory to my friends. But i have one small doubt. Those 5 missles when it hit the ship, he was standing in the front, like he will get the direct impact of the missiles and it's not possible to not die.

@@G2Chanakya It's Rocky. Also, there is the Salaar movie which is supposedly connected. There is supposedly a KGF-verse now, or will be. There is a chapter 3. Who knows what Rocky did in Indonesia and US, during 1978 to 1981. We never see the kid die, nor his supposed corpses face. Would make sense for him to be part of KGF 3, perhaps as Salaars main lead. There is still so much going on, and Rocky did say he was going to win. Surely, he can't be dead.

Rocky will come infront of story teller that's how KGF 3 will end. The reporter is present now and collecting the details to prove his work. So, now there will be no more past story. Rocky wanted India and other countries to think he is dead. So he let America and Indonesia navy to know his arrival. In KGF 3 I think there will be no story what he have done in foreign because if he want to do anything in other country, it'll be slow progression. Director would never think to show the story in that way.

I don't think Rocky is dead. He worked his entire life to keep up his promise he made to his mother. Now, imagine how much anger he should have when his pregnant wife is killed. I don't think he would give up that easily. I think he will go after Ramika Sen in chapter 3 which would be a combination of both prequel and the present day when Rocky's ship was bombed. Also, there was already a hint in the movie that Rocky is alive. If you remember the scene where Rocky's grave is extracted from the ground in KGF. If Rocky died in the ocean, how did his body reach KGF? I guess this is thi biggest hint that he will be back I think the timeline between 1978 - 1981 should provide more details as why Rocky made Indonesians, Indians and Americans attack him in the Indian ocean. There is also a rumor that Rocky escapes in a Soviet submarine after making the world think he died and after hiding all his gold in the deepest part of the ocean where only he, with his submarine can extract it and noone else.
