If you think about it, the first dialogue in the movie is the kid asking his mom why ocean glitters and mom says because there’s a lot of gold under the ocean. And the kid promises his mom that he would get her all the gold in the world. In the end, Rocky keeps up to his promise and takes all the gold to the bottom as the ocean as his mother said! The story comes a full circle there.
