Who gave this guy white belt? We need to check that moment.
@BChrizZ945 ай бұрын
I think it is because this was in a BJJ Gym, where he is a white belt since he never trained it. I just assume, because the one guy even has a purple belt and the white belts have stripes wich is just in BJJ not in Judo. If anyone knows more to this, just tell us! :)

A lot of top mma guys from Dagestan seem to respect judo & implement judo fundamentals along with their sambo and wrestling

Sambo is basically Judo + folk wrestling. Everything found in Judo can be found in Sambo, just different emphasis (Sambo places greater emphasis on leglocks over chokeholds, they allow more grips such as grabbing the belt, the shoulders (they have this extra fabric there which I don't know the name of), and of course, the legs (for throws which Judo is slowly getting rid of). At one point, Russian sambists were dominating the Judo scene because of their background in both Sambo and wrestling made them unorthodox and difficult to deal with.

If you want to see a legend in action; search for Gokor. He's an Armenian guy, and in my opinion one of the greatest Judo-ka and Sambist in history. He's a student of Gene Lebell.

Judo took its technical structure from Kurash, the Japanese accept this. Kurash is the folk wrestling of Central Asian Turks. Judo was born with the techniques added from ju jutsu to the Kurash sport. Judokas still wrestle in Kurash competitions in Central Asia, they are called polvon.

@lsnchampion55385 ай бұрын
@Omar-x135 ай бұрын
@DasWarVorbestimmt5 ай бұрын
@Omar-x135 ай бұрын
