I'm going back through everything Khabibs done throughout his career since he's now retired and I had never seen this post fight interview before so my comment is obviously a year late but I was thinking the exact same thing. Dustin is an amazing human obviously but I was damn impressed with the way that interviewer handled that with legit sincerity

The reason why I said I was a muslim specifically here is, a lot of muslims have been voicing their love fot khabib. I respect khabib, man is a good fighter but in this case Dustin humility and just the honour he has displayed was incredible, and I wanted to share that he's not only won the hearts of his fans but also of those that he/others would have thought were on the opposite camp.

@@corentin1708 Khabib is way more than just a wrestler, he is whole another being as a fighter He is also extreme striker and massive takedowner with various great styles and techniques He prolly could done much more KOs if he wanted to sacrifice the health of his own body in a brutal striking punch for punch battles like some other fighters like Conor do and pay the price for it later The dude literally hasn't ever not even bleed in the octagon so he tougher than maybe everybody, but he preferred to do more wrestling as a primary strategy because it was wiser thing for the long run

Michael Devaney He’s probably kicking himself because he was so close to submitting him. Khabib himself even admitted that the guillotine was close. He caught him as he went for the takedown and I think against Tony - who has even better BJJ and even better pressure striking - can beat him. Khabib didn’t look invincible tonight.

As someone who's been a fan of Dustin and followed him for many many years I am beyond heartbroken for him tonight. But the man is such a role model and champion in life, and in the end, nothing matters more than that. Great showing from both men tonight, Khabib is incredible, and Dustin fought his heart out and put Khabib in more trouble than any man before him. He has nothing to be ashamed of. I wish them both all the best
