I think it's great but I feel like it might be a clear win for khabib only because mma had evolved and its difficult if not impossible for someone who has been fighting the best 10 years ago to compete with the best now and most importantly against a complete modern mix martial artists like khabib. I'd say the same to khabib if he wanted to come back in a few years cuz there will be new fighters and the game will keep on evolving and this modern era in mma is still considered kinda the beginning cuz the sport is technically young

The evolution was single leg cirlcle to the right. By the time he fights trejulio his left hip became as strong as his right and he could take him down at will going any direction. Then he became really good at tripping. Khabibs core is 10/10 that is his main weapon. Conor was the closest to defending the single leg but khabib clamped his core down. I think you have to be born with a core like that, plus years of training. Khabibs not too tall or short, his arms/legs are not too long or short. He’s perfectly symmetrical

You can see how early in his career, he did the exact same double leg against every opponent. But as the competition got better, he worked in more throws & trips (as he had to use more advanced techniques once opponents knew what was coming). You can also see why he didn't panic when Porier got him in a guillotine. He'd been in SO many of them througout his career. You need to be able to counter the guillotine when you're giving opponents your head match after match.

Only reason why Conor defended so well, was his amazing sense of balance. JUST KIDDING LMAO look how blatantly he was grabbing Khabib's shorts. With that hard grip, he was easily able to balance since he had a hold of Khabib. Pathetic, 3 minutes worth of cheating with glove grabs, toes in fence, shorts grabbing, illegal knees, is a record Mac will hold forever.
@Mma-ig5ew3 жыл бұрын
Conor actually had good defense.The first takedown was a technique called running the pipe.He was spinning in opposite direction if where khabib wanted to spin him which made difficult to finish but khabib chained his single into double finish and then did a side step which ended up with conor sitting against the fence and khabib on top.

@sclassmazoku79783 жыл бұрын
@@Mma-ig5ew But, Conor while doing that was also grabbing the back of Khabib's shorts. The first time he did it (~17 secs into the fight), it might've been a butt drag, but like after a few seconds it was pretty clear that he was just holding the shorts.
@user-qh4re4ts1m3 жыл бұрын
@@sclassmazoku7978 yea i see that. But if i'm not mistaken, he was able to defend Khabib takedowns in round 3?
@sclassmazoku79783 жыл бұрын
@@user-qh4re4ts1m Yea, kinda. Conor stopped 1 takedown without a foul (although he did grab Khabib's shorts again right after that, which allowed him to get some strikes in and gain some points while Khabib was trying to get Conor's hand off the shorts). The 2nd time it looks like Conor stopped it, but looking at it from a different angle. He was grabbing Khabib's gloves. The 3rd takedown, when Khabib shot in. Conor immediately grabbed Khabib's shorts again. Now Khabib had to fight off Conor's hand from his shorts again while Conor was landing strikes. And then the last takedown, Khabib actually gets it briefly. But Conor gets up pretty fast and again grabs Khabib's gloves for basically a whole minute straight. The last one was pretty blatantly illegal from basically every angle, Herb definitely should've seen it, but he didn't do anything. In total he defended 3 takedowns. If you don't wanna include the ones he defended illegally, then he defended 1. Tbh the fight might've not even gone to the 3rd round. If Conor didn't grab the cage, Khabib might've gotten full mount and finished the kimura. Herb really let Conor get away with big big fouls.

Adil Sidd Obviously but bum ass Ben Askren is not Chandler is 100x more of a threat to Khabib compared to Ben Askren... But yes ofc GSP and Usman would be khabib's worst match up as Usman has never been taken down in UFC neither and way better stand up than Khabib... Fight would never happen. GSP vs Khabib has a better chance of happening at all.

I ain't a dick rider of khabib takedowns but who else like the blitz of his single double leg? That guy is compromising a vicious knee for that...🤙🔥👽
