You can rest while you sit on them like that. You can go even further, too: Khabib said he “also sits on them in a way that attacks their balance.” We can handle bench presses, but it’s almost impossible to do them if the bar is off-balance & changing its weight distribution. That’s the Khabib style: rest while you make them ‘bench press you,’ and shift the weight distribution so the opponent can’t predict & counter you.
